An ex spouse was court marshalled for getting a serious sunburn. Charges were dropped, message received: your body belongs to Uncle.
Did he miss that part where soldiers were the primary cause of the 1919 epidemic? Maybe he thinks he can kill more people than those 20th Century losers?
No, but it is a humor site: dudehumor
That one's free on the Internet Archive. I just reread it last week for an article. I highly recommend.
Happy 420?
This was almost exactly 3 years ago.
Why do we have a word for "marginalized people" and why is it required that those who are must contend with constantly demanding that we not be dehumanized by the others?
Asking for a friend...
Wniston Churhill flashes the victory/peace sign to a massive crowd.
Stoners rarely start wars.

Umberto Eco wrote Name of the Rose because he "wanted to strangle a monk". Sweet sweet revenge.
Yes! comment on their review with details about how great a read it is and that maybe they just are smart enough for that particular book.
I don't care wat you say about me as long as you spell my name correctly.
All publicity is good.
Write that out in ugly letters and put it within viewing at all times.
I always refuse feedbcak. Whoever it is they've already collected enough of my data and that will be ALL they get.
"feel cared for." It makes me feel dismissed and disposable, especially once they get to the "nothing can be done" part.
The lying is the only thing transparent except the ability of folks in Mumbai to actually do anything to solve a problem.

I can accept, not like, but accept, that the powerful can never get enough, but what is making me spin between incredible rage and a dire hopelessness is shitty customer interaction.
Saying "I'm sorry" every time they open their mouths does not mean they are nor does it make me 1/2
Depends on how you read and what matters. I can read fast if I want only the story, but I love reading for the flow and the structure. Some authors can be long-form poets if we look for that and nto be able to do that as well as soak in a lovely prose.

Also, the price increases because farmers also have to buy clothing, paper goods, and laundry supplies. All these things have increased, so that even if a farmer doesn't have extra costs in growing and harvesting they still need to live.
It's pretty much what we're living on. Even that has doubled in price. Green lentils are now ~3x the cost last year.
Always better to give cash to a foodbank. They buy food at wholesale prices below what the grocery stores pay so they can make your donation go much further than if you donate purchased items.
Yes. Diesel fuel prices are crazy and since food is mostly shipped in big trucks we're really paying.
Seeing here in SW Ohio, too. I've had to seriously curtail groceries. No extras like chips and nuts. Definitely no homemade treats. Most everything is sale items now. Very little meat.
So glad I can cook and we like beans. I'm a forager, though this year it's not just for fun.
