I’ve gone the reboot, sign out / sign in of App Store, tried to download it from purchase list, looked for it as a “ghost” app in iPhone storage, turned off “offload unused apps”…

Alright fellow SQL nerds... Which of these 6 common table expressions are valid?

Bay Area life means you see your friends in New York more often than the ones in the Peninsula.

I like yaml though aesthetically it looks a little funny to put markdown inside a nested yaml line item. Still nicer than escaped text in json!

Do you have an example?

Has anyone created a standard format for structured *input* into LLMs? I'm thinking of a parseable json or markdown file that includes sections like examples, variables, system prompt, user prompt.

Can we tag them? Maybe they wanna add it to the repo, we just made it public. Lots of rough edges obviously.

Fred Brooks is still underrated. I'm pretty sure people just *say* they've read Mythical Man-Month but often haven't.

I judge agency presentations by how many words on a slide are specific to my company. Shockingly low sometimes!

What is the word for when you’re debugging a data issue, you find one of the causes but it *increases* the scale of the discrepancy? 😂

I had a coworker at Microsoft 15+ years ago where I’d do this on Fridays and he couldn’t resist and would eagerly tell me he’d cracked it on Monday. Best part? I told him the trick and it *still* worked on him.

I know we all expect it but it’s wild to watch folks outside of tech transition from using the verb “Google” to the verb “ChatGPT” in regular conversation.

Fun fact, Apple has the tiniest lobbying team in Washington. A fraction of the size of companies like Amazon, Meta, and Google.

Has anyone studied or written about this?

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

Your argument is a little silly, which I thought was the point. Obviously rETL is just a form of ETL. Don’t blame me, the market wanted to name it. And obviously engineers will pay less for something they think they can build. But also, they pay us a lot 😂

The key was that it had free server sync. So no one could instantly hop to something else. So the ecosystem started to fade

couldn't agree with you more. of all the companies in the world, i was hoping apple would do a lot more to explore consumer-grade diff + version control UX

TimeGuessr TimeGuessr - the game that tests both your geography and history knowledge. Guess the right time and location of a historical photo.

Our team has been playing Timeguessr at our weekly all hands and it's pretty fun. We had to retire Geoguessr because one of our teammates utterly dominated it.

Any other games we can try?
