Also make sure the inverter software is not dumping the battery storage to the grid during the day. I know some people can do this if there is dynamic tariffs - getting good export rates. Here in NI we get rubbish export rates so I get obsessed with getting the most out of battery storage. 😎
Yup your house will draw from the batt if solar drops below what is needed to run the house. If your solar is at max & house load is low then batt is charged and excess will be exported to the grid. My inverter is set to house first, then batt then export. I also charge at night on a cheaper tariff.
