Thinking about quantum field theory. What the monks are doing on this Peace Walk is vibrational work. Their presence shifts the field a little. The people they meet feel it, then carry that shift forward. It’s collective, and I believe it adds up. ☮️

About Those Law Firm Deals From TPM Reader AK … Just read your posts about this. I...

As this reader (a law prof) explains, if you take them on their face the Big Law agreements with the White House since they are with Trump personally are pretty straightforward and public instances of bribery. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/about...

Wouldn't it be nice if every news outlet that covered the Bukele Oval Office meeting noted:

District court wrote: Abrego Garcia "has never been charged with or convicted of any crime."⤵️

Fourth Circuit: The government presented "NO EVIDENCE" of MS-13 affiliation. Abandoned argument before court. ⤵️

21st Century Fascism is Democratic A deep dive into the evolution of fascism. And how understanding that evolution is the key to defeating it.

This is very good and important reading. Especially the part about the differences between the more small-d democratic way the fascists have organized, and the more archaic top-down and distrustful model Democrats still employ.

In order for ICE to declare someone an "Alien Enemy," ICE must first determine they are a Venezuelan over age 14, and then second find 8 points on a scoring guide they made up.

4 points for having alleged gang tattoos + 4 points for displaying gang "logos" or "symbols" = 8 points = TDA member.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?

A federal prosecutor in Los Angeles was fired Friday at the behest of the White House, after lawyers for a fast-food executive he was prosecuting pushed officials in Washington to drop all charges against him, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.
Adam Schleifer was terminated Friday morning, receiving an email informing him that the dismissal was "on behalf of President Donald J.
Trump," according to two of the sources, who requested anonymity for fear of reprisals from federal officials. Joseph T. McNally, the acting U.S. attorney for the Central District of California who is Schleifer's boss, was not
involved in the decision, the sources said.

Though U.S. attorneys are political appointees who often ally with the agenda of the current presidential administration, line prosecutors like Schleifer are normally considered career employees. But since taking office, the Trump administration has made a point to drive those seen as political enemies from all levels of the federal government.
"This is the most overtly political firing I've seen in my time at the Department of Justice," said Palmer, the former federal prosecutor. "I could absolutely see it having kind of a chilling effect. I also think current prosecutors are concerned about the ability to have free speech. An AUSA [assistant U.S. attorney] who I spoke to said they are concerned that the only people who will be allowed to stay are Republicans or very quiet Democrats."

"The message from Adam's case is that if you're going to indict some run-of-the-mill CEO of a company, you need to check if he's a Trump supporter first," the former prosecutor said.
"It's going to cause line prosecutors to be considerably more careful about pursuing anyone who has even tenuous connections to the president, which is not good for the DOJ."

This is *extremely* alarming — White House fires a career federal prosecutor because he (1) went after a politically connected businessman and (2) criticized Trump during a 2020 congressional bid.

“White House fires a career prosecutor” is itself unprecedented.
