This is the HAM6 356x472 image of the same flower.

More HAM6 fun from 'ole 10MARC! This time we have a 1659 x 2000 pixel image of a flower in China, converted to full HAM6 (4096 colors) on my 1985 #Amiga 1000.
Extra RAM all I needed for Art Department Pro to crop and convert the original 13 Megapixel image. the right is the 356x472 version.

Nope. Even 40 years later the very first thing I do on any Amiga is install "no click" software. It was annoying in the 80's and it's annoying now.

No they won't. Traditional laptops with Linux installed would hardly make a dent in sales. It would not be more than a tiny niche that would probably be less than 1% of sales.
Many manufacturers already offer it as an option, and very few people do it.

I literally donated about 30 of those a few months ago. They were taking so much room in my garage I just had to let them go. Most were from 2007 - 2014 or so. A bit newer than yours

You are a beautiful person on the inside, so all we can see is a beautiful person on the outside, Ash.

It does not matter what volume level your stereo is at. When this song comes on, you turn it up higher.
I don't make the rules. I just follow them.

We've poured 4 years into Roguecraft. ๐ŸŽฎ

First #Amiga release in 2024, and multiple ports since. Now we're bringing a widescreen Steam version that stays true to its Amiga roots.

A Steam Demo is coming very soon. Stay tuned! ๐Ÿ‘€

I really do understand where you're coming from - but companies do need to protect themselves from being inundated with support requests for things that are not their fault.
My phone is locked by default but has an option to allow insecure apps. Maybe that's a route Commodore should look at.

Way to suck the joy out of a guy who may not have thought about a C64 in 40 years! Most of us had our first days getting back into this hobby and he's just asking the community for advice.

It honestly seems totally legit. They don't want to be financially responsible if someone else's firmware borks their product. So they take steps to prevent it.
Of course people will find ways to bypass it, but that is 100% their problem if issues occur, not Commodore's.

Born on the Amiga. Reforged for Steam.

Roguecraft DX brings classic turn-based dungeon crawling, chunky pixels, and something ancient stirring behind the veil.

It's pretty bad, really. I tried to license a clients Office 2013 and could not even do that, either on the Internet or over the phone. They are simply screwed, apparently.

I see your Mac G4 and raise you a Commodore VIC-20. They both are a lovely white color and both are better than what we have today.
