Data is everywhere, but it rarely works together.
EARTHONE is building the Information Factory to connect climate, soil, and land data and turn it into models and visualisations for better decisions.

Climate change is already affecting farming, tourism, and local economies.
#EARTHONE connects climate data with real impacts on production, income, and resources so decisions are based on evidence, not assumptions.

Mountain orchards are under pressure. Heat swings, water shortages, pests.
#EARTHONE supports farmers with local data, sensors, and cooperative knowledge to act earlier and plan better.

Farmers do not need more complexity. They need tools that work.
Today we’re starting to share EARTHONE practice abstracts, bringing results closer to real use. This first one from Italy highlights real-time monitoring, simple tools, and affordable solutions.

#SoilHealth #LandUseChange
Land use change is a key pressure on soil health. In Zagora (Greece), #EARTHONE Pilot 2 tracks a transition from forest to abandoned and cultivated apple orchards, capturing how soil changes step by step.
#EARTHONE took part in the AgroTech Hub webinar on Europe’s agri-data ecosystem.
With 93 participants attending online, the session focused on how agricultural data can support decision-making.

EARTHONE fieldwork in Spain continues. In early March, Borja Arroyo Galende and Anaida Fernández (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) carried out soil sampling across four study areas, including abandoned dehesa and agroforestry plots under conventional, organic and transitioning management.
This Friday (13 Mar, 11:00–12:30 CET) join the AgroTech Hub webinar on Europe’s next-generation agri-data ecosystem. Horizon Europe projects will discuss how agricultural data can support better decisions for farming, climate action and policy.

Some of the most important work behind #EARTHONE happens quietly. In field studies, research discussions, coordination meetings and community engagement.
On March 8, we highlight the women contributing across the project and give them the visibility and credit they deserve.
From discussions on the future of climate policy to community-led initiatives and creative sessions, the programme connects policy and action.

What’s next for EU climate action?
Together in Action 2026, the European Climate Pact’s annual event, brings together Europe’s climate community, policymakers and experts.
The #EARTHONE Information Factory will integrate climate, soil and land use data into a single interoperable environment. It will support AI-based modelling and decision making for sustainable land management and greenhouse gas mitigation.

The air remembers everything we burn. CO2 is more than 50% above pre industrial levels. Most emissions come from how we produce energy, manage land and grow food.
#EARTHONE works where emissions begin. On the land.
Where do you see the biggest opportunity to act right now?

On 13 March 2026, #EARTHONE joins the AgroTechHub Cluster webinar “From Data to Decisions.” Borja Arroyo Galende will present how trusted, integrated data links climate change to Europe’s agri & forestry systems to support better decision-making.
