Tonight will mark 3 years since my Dad passed away. The wound has healed mostly, but every once in a while the scars rip back open. I have since come to know myself better, and I hope that I can one day be proud of myself without the validation from him... I'm not quite there yet, but still trying.

I did this pixel art of an autumn forest a few years back. I'm not practiced or trained as an artist at all, and I'm not sure I'll ever be. But... should I try my hand at some filler art of my own for my board game, at least until I find a proper artist?

I don't like using AI for finished products, and I never will. It CAN be a great tool however for finding inspiration and a place to jump off of.

Some descriptions, including species, but not full ref sheets. Currently 4 characters, with potential for 6-8 on release depending on Kickstarter goals as possible. My intent is to work together in the long term for expansions of it does well too.

It's for a game that centers on 1v1 combat between anthro characters using martial and magical prowess. I'm hoping to see what kinds of styles artists can offer and see if I can pick a type that fits, but it's still appealing enough to the intended audience. ^.=.^
