Iโm deeply grateful for my support system โ my wonderful husband and son, my family, an amazing GP, and the exceptional team at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Their care has carried me through.

This year Iโve begun losing my sight due to retinal damage linked to a (currently) unexplained neurological disorder. Itโs been unsettling and has had a profound impact on both my work and personal life.

On a personal note, Iโve been incredibly fortunate to lead two large UK trials (SIGHT and EyeFocus). At the same time, life delivered a sharp reminder of its fragility.
