We're happy to do it! I spent a bunch of time unearthing the firmware patcher and actually building a timezone database that works better. At some point we'll be able to build a full open source FW, but in the mean time, I have other ideas for patches (icons for new apps??) - stay tuned! -joshua

I just turned on Bridgy, so in theory, you should be able to follow us in the Fediverse as @rebble.io@bsky.brid.gy. TBD whether it actually works -- my (Joshua's) instance doesn't seem to manage to bridge here (?), but at least I've tried it, and I'd rather support as many open ecosystems as I can!
Got my Pebble 2 Duo the other day. An amazing upgrade from my old Pebble Time Steel. Totally worth the wait!

Today I played around with Embedded #Swift to build a hello world app for the #Pebble and was able to run it on my almost 10 year old Pebble Time Round.

Finally, and coolest I think: we just pushed experimental support for Timeline Shared Pins to the Rebble Timeline API -- the mechanism that Pebble Sports was based on. This is going to require some mobile app changes, but if you have big ideas for what to do with this, it's around the corner.
Second off: we fixed a bug that was keeping you from submitting `emery`-only apps (Pebble Time 2). So if your new app wants to take advantage of that gorgeous gigantic color LCD, and you didn't write a wimpy small-screen version for the rest of us, well, we got you covered!
Some fun updates for Pebble developers! Three changes just deployed to the app store (on Saturday night, because I am a goofus). First off: the app store+dev portal now support the `flint` platform, so you can now write apps for Pebble 2 Duo specifically!

Having my old Pebble back on my wrist is superb! It was amazing enough that they got new ones made, but the fact that old models are fully supported is absolutely delightful. Thank you @ericmigi.com, @rebble.io , and everyone else that worked to make this happen.

My very first Pebble app ("Departures" for Helsinki Regional Transit busses and trams) is "done"! That's always more to do, but it's usable. I'll test it for a few days, and then release it on the @rebble.io App Store.
