If its used as a self-teaching aid by an individual who genuinely has interest and wants to learn its literally the best way to learn. Direct, responsive, operates at learners pace.

Like an infinity patient master who talks you through all aspects of language syntax, coding patterns - everything

killer is as teaching tool. Who care about cheaters who don't want to use it to learn, don't let that diminish the power it has for teaching those who want to learn.

Sure they all can pretty much.

I see it like nature. It can appear as an infinite number of scenes and experiences. And we take pictures of the ones we want to remember. Its a bit like that. From the endless possibilities, curate a few that made you feel something. Maybe someone will vibe with it

Yeah that wouldn't need to change, as the artist you retain the rights to your works. The sale and token gives the new owner some rights too. So they can print it on a canvas or in some cases sell prints. Potentially also the rights to remix into new works

Its nice to be able to curate specific pieces. Give them a permanent home & ability to be owned like all other art. Because its on-chain the code lives in the permanent part of the blockchain. It can be used by collectors in exhibits and galleries+ provable legal rights. Its worth the effort

totally get that and no worries!

A few intro videos here:
youtube.com/@blockgenera...
these are a little old but mostly relevant. Also if you log into construct theres a bunch of example projects to have a poke though, you have to 'save as' to edit them

Its a little JS webapp code editor we built, bit like p5js. But designed specifically for 16kb art, it lets you preview the compacted version

Probably not, but I'd absolutely love to see you port some of your ideas over and to make something new. I'd be willing to help get you started and resolve any issues that come up.

Like I mentioned we're a tiny team of enthusiastic art coders, so we very much welcome someone of your caliber!

Its a little harder with 16kb gen art. Most art coders out there would rather it be unbounded and with libraries. I get it. But with a tiny limit req, it forces you to the functional fundamentals of an algorithm/mechanism, to a deep understanding of it and to new juicy incites! Which I quite like.

I love this!

That's cool and strange! I like it.

I like js for its ease of use and its ability to take syntax abuse. Similar to LUA you can really get in there and mess about. I agree its not good for everything. But good enough for most things

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

yeah similar, though I was never good at c / c++. I get it enough to make things with it but not enough to work on a pro coder team with an established codebase. I'd be lost! ๐Ÿ˜…

Very cool and compact, these are great! Especially loving the feel of lsys4js. And it outputs SVG! I can see the print/plot benefits!

I'd love to see your work published through our platform BlockGen Art. We're a small band of code rebels exploring possibilities. Reach out if that interests you
