Hoppin' Frog- Froggy-Style Shenanigans
I'm not sure what "froggy style" even is, but this 8.45oz can is a frog kick in the mouth at 14.5%. Definitely red as the style indicates, zero head after the pour and really tastes like a bodily wine. Interesting beer for sure.

Wow! This is boozy after 6/7 years. It almost tastes reminiscent of an old bottle of Dogfish Head 120 Minute. I totally wouldn't think this was a brown ale at all, but more of a malty barleywine.

#Batch13 this beer is 8 years old and held its own, like a jockstrap on a 40-year-old linebacker. It was definitely a Grand Cru beer, the ABV was definitely hidden a little bit but still tasted great for this style.
2022 Wolverine Massacre and 2022 BCBS Coffee Stout, blended in the same glass.

This beer is exactly what I hoped it would be. Sure there's NEIPA cloudiness, but this beer is a deep golden straw color, heavy med. mouthfeel & solid dank nose. Rich dank hop notes dance on my tongue w/ a peppercorn finish. This pushes past Boss Tweed.
Surprisingly, this beer is very roasted malt forward. I assumed by the name that it would be a pastry stout but it is far from that. Lots of bitterness, some mild chocolate & cinnamon. No crunchiness & the gold glitter is hard to see without a flash.

I skipped the 2 sours in this advent calendar, but I'm back to revisit this one because I had a hunch that it was brewed with Brett. I was right!! There is some lactobacillus in this, but the Brett is giving it a nice funk!! Crisp, dry and clean.
This the epitome of a Christmas beer right here! Yes, you can have some kind of big RIS or some bullshit that has a bunch of Christmas spice in it, but wouldn't you rather have something that tastes like the water that comes from the Christmas tree stand?
