Last night, after an hours-long public hearing, Monterey Park became the first city in California to pass an ordinance permanently banning data centers.

The city council voted unanimously to declare data centers a public nuisance, and to "prohibit all data centers within city limits."

My story:

Yet again I remind everyone (as Elizabeth does in her very next tweet) that "foreigners are corrupting our pure blood with weakness & disease" is Fascism 101. Not some variant, not some metaphorically similar thing, not some echo -- the thing itself.

Coincidentally, I was reading just yesterday about. Rick Veitch run of the Swamp Thing that was sidelined because he traveled through time to meet Jesus and got involved in the crucifixion. Apparently there are plans to release it soon. No news re: Man thing though
