Absolutely, though I remain pecemistic in the extreme. Just because these policies existed before the left populist pivot and member influx.

If they manage a coherant industrial policy and defence position, that would be dire for Labour and set the greens up to do even better.

Odd sense of Deja vu. They've deffo announced these reviews before Polanski was leader and Greens organise took over; and they still arrived back at their comfort zone.

I guessed as much, dont get me wrong hes a good addition to the PLP and clearly impressive CV.

But theres no political program, or history of political organising, or even just definitive politics.

We've elected impressive CVs, ones without personal politics, before...

In case you’re confused - the Β£100k of tax Richard Tice failed to pay here is totally different to the
- Β£92k of tax not properly withheld on dividends
- the Β£600k side-stepped via highly aggressive tax avoidance

Yeah, I do mean a Tory one because if that party is going to come back its going to be on an anti-welfare, pro defence anti Russia platform.

Reform simply wont occupy an anti-Russia position because theyre ideologically and financialy beholden to the Kremilin backed axis of authoritarianism.

Either a Labour leader allocates the funds now, when they can help the situation, or a Tory prime minister will to late to effectively increase capability backed deterrence.

The rubberbanding back to Treasury orthodoxy on this and other projects is infuriating.

It's astonishing to me the delays in implementing the DIP.

Unless the hold up is because they're finding Β£bns more and want to properly allocate it (its not that), the uncertainty/delay, not to mention signals this sends to Putin are at odds with the supposed aims of the relocation of DfID funds.

My pet theory is the last windows update did something thats causing conflicts with servers. We've had outages at work today.

My issue with the lefts unwillingness to get coherant/serious on defence is that its demonstably the lever by which right wing parties gain credibility with the public and get back into office.

Reforms Russophilia is Labours saving grace, but a competent Tory leader would run rings round us on it.

I'm incredibly worried that because of this undeniably great news, we're about to see a major Russian offensive and increased terror tactics against civilian targets.

Kemlin will know the EU giant will now be able to act, specifically the loans. But also armaments investments.

for sure, congratulations to magyar. but the real heroes imo are those in civil society & journalism & rank-and-file opposition & academia who have fought against the disintegration of rule of law, the weaponization of the courts/media, & so much more for so long. πŸ‡πŸ‡Ί

Securonomics. Insourcing. A 'contribution society' if you will... Can you imagine a Labour Leader and Chancellor talking about such things...?

Also sets out a stall in opposition to left Nimbyism and unilateral disarmament proposed by the Greens.

It also distinguishes itself from the Lib Dem small state, low tax pivot we're seeing Davey move to in a bid to get soft-tories on side.

Such an initiative though would be a change from Reeves' current drive for foreign investment and the general partnerships with the US corporate behemoths.

It could not be accomplished without a secure tax base to pay down debt. Something our current system is barely coping with currently.

If you want an economic program that could unite the Labour coalition this is undoubtedly it.

All unions want to see this in their sectors. Public want to see (and I mean visibily see, not metaphorically) investment. Liberals want US decoupling.

I do think theres an electoral niche, and viable economic model behind a Gaullist realignment in British gov procurement.

Many of the parties are flirting with some concepts but as yet all are held back by an unwillingness to resource such an initiative.

I maintain its too early to predict GE outcomes; but obviously the absolute state of Green industrial strategy, energy, fiscal, defence and foreign policy platforms should be a cause for alarm if we're talking hypothetical coalitions.

My real concern here, and it is genuine, is that we might be about to make Polanksi, and the momentum based Greens organise group that elected him, kingmakers on a raft of policy issues in the new local authorities and mayoralties.

Greens Nimbyism has not gone anywhere despite the new leadership.

My take is that this is almost entirely to do with Lab failures: Policy, coms, campaign strategy. Systemic weaknesses and vulnerabilities that Polanski's Grns are targetting.

The question is, is there any willingness to learn and adapt in the Party, when doing so is an admission of failure.

I'll have to do the same. Though its still early days in his leadership, and the skeltons and garbage takes are only just starting to come out of the closet; its undeniably clear the Greens are now real contenders in a way they simply weren't before.

Zack Polanski being a prat. Again.

Zack Polanski being a prat. Again.

The leader of the Green party appears to have a problem with the UK helping to shoot down the Iranian attack drones which are targeting other countries in the region.

3/3 I've just read the Dev diary and looked at the update and will definitely be taking a second look when this PVE update launches.

Though there is a mechanic for base decay so will be starting from scratch resource/vehicles/base wise if not level wise lol!

2/3 If ur a lore fan story is...okay, but it is set in alternate timeline which can be a bit jarring.

Base building and resource gathering was actually very fun and the presence of sandworms added a lovely niche.

Significantly less fun to play alone but parts of story are singleplayer.

1/3 Me and 4 mates were playing it. Stopped several months back. Complicated but basically end game resources for progression were locked behind the PVP zone.

Was actually really fun, and you could dip your toes into PVP in smaller ship crashes.

Core survival/explore/dungeon loop was enjoyable.

Played Dune back at launch, really very enjoyable up until PVP. Simply because the guilds with insane hours playtime made it impossible to compete for the resources in the PVP zone for those of us with low free time for play.

MMOs really struggle with this because they're based on grinding.
