Not what I was expecting to see on the bottom of my toddlerโs shoe tbh

The news has been more than a bit grim of late, so hooray for @carbonbrief.org providing some genuine and really meaningful **good** news: the UK's carbon emissions in 2024 were the lowest since 1872, because demand for fossil fuels just keeps decreasing.

An eight-month-old baby sitting on a workout mat wearing a brown floral fleece and leopard print leggings.
Tiny workout buddy keeping me on my toes this morning as sheโs spent the weekend figuring out how to crawl.
Now have to retrieve her from other peopleโs mats between sets.
Lovely to know that viewers of #TheTraitors have donated as much as Alexander would have won.
this is the dumbest lie anyone has told on the show. I am obsessed with Charlotte. #Traitors #TheTraitors
Literally !!! The second Yin spoke it was like oh you are obviously being booted out in one second
Having to learn not to whoop loudly at the television during The Traitors, because this time around I have a small baby sleeping above who I have already disturbed twiceโฆ
Contestant on The Traitors says: "I mean, I'm a priest, not a saint."
obsessed with her. would die for her. #TheTraitors
Is this where we are discussing the Traitors? Or do I have to venture back to Twitter for thatโฆ
My new favourite delivery confirmation photo
The moment I realised getting my daughter to go to sleep might be an issue this evening: when she climbed off my lap and stood on the floor twerking while I sang twinkle twinkle little star
Iโve long been obsessed by these influencers - one especially who charges ยฃ250 a month to then force more supplements on you. Her sole credential seems to be that she successfully got pregnant with PCOS.
Fantastic piece from @jacquiwak.bsky.social

Love love love the Carlton Club!
Threads showing me the same sort of stuff I consumed on Instagram is why I deleted it so quickly.
What I want to see on a public text-based app is very different from the content I consume on a private account on photo + video platform.
So finding things (especially in the winter) like cinema screenings designed for babies has proved to be a lifeline.
But itโs definitely mothers disproportionately who get cut off from society in the early years - often in minor ways.
Eg. I canโt go to my favourite brunch place anymore as it canโt take prams. Itโs not a big deal, but these things stack up at a time when you feel less yourself than ever before.
And my tiny gal loved being there too! She bounced herself around for the first half an hour, passed out for two hours and then woke just in time for Defying Gravity - which she happily โsangโ along to.
Cynthia Erivo is sublime in Wicked, her voice is unreal.
Ariana Grande felt like odd casting before I saw it - but sheโs also perfect and unexpectedly hilarious.
Wicked is excellent - but it was made even more enjoyable by being able to go to a baby-friendly screening.
Naively I didnโt realise quite how cut off from cultural moments Iโd feel as a new mother, so spaces like today have been super valuable.
One of the most compelling and fascinating pieces Iโve read in a long time

What a difference six months makes.
My tiny, jaundiced premature gal is now a proper force to be reckoned with.
Congratulations!!
This thread is a great illustration of why Bluesky is going to do so much better than Threads
Itโs some sort of baby magic? I put it on in desperation the other day and she giggled like she was seeing an old friendโฆ sheโs only 6 months!
Pleased itโs such a sweet show too
I would like to thank Bluey for sponsoring my childโs first bout of sickness
Yes maternity leave has left me questioning the power of Big Toucan
Begging someone to commission a long read on how an animal as niche as a toucan managed to dominate the baby toy market so successfully
