Had a fire in our bathroom from the exhaust fans.

So... how's everyone's day? Today was a bit of a wild ride at our place so wanted to share a safety PSA with my peeps. Apparently, bathroom exhaust fans have a max duty cycle before they burst into flames. Literally! The plastic covers also catch on fire, melt and ignite bathroom mats below.

With heavy hearts, we have to say goodbye to Checkers. He's been a constant pain in my ass for 16 yrs, stealing nuggets from the cat bin, peeing on stuff that doesn't need peed on & incessantly barking when my wife leaves home. I'm going to miss you and not at all ready for this.

I have 0 knowledge of his ideologies. As I'm looking around my room, I have, at a minimum, 300 pieces of equipment or supplies that I haven't the faintest idea about their manufacturers' ideologies. Of course, I'm sure you know the ideologies of every product manufacturer whose products you consume?

My new workshop. All tidy after several years of it being unmanageable.

After several years of tripping over stuff and being "too busy" to do anything about it, I finally managed to spend the last two weeks organizing and setting up the shop so I can actually move about unimpeded, work on multiple instruments, and have all my tools organized and within arms reach.

I think there are a couple of factors at play: firstly, people are spending a lot of time searching for old connections and creating new connections, as opposed to actually interacting, which should level out at some point; there aren't the same algorithms feeding timelines and content.

I'm not weighing in as pro or against Trudeau. But, I think there is almost no chance he can pull off even a minority government. There are too many headwinds against him: public sentiment; media bias; voter fatigue. The prudent move, for the Liberal party, would be to step aside.

what people don’t get is that you have to make your own fun here by engaging with others. fun isn’t delivered to you via the algorithm, you have to actually talk to other people. the micro communities here are fantastic!
