🔥SEN. @ossoff.senate.gov : “Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner’s on the Saudi payroll for $2 BILLION— as he leads 🇺🇸 diplomacy + asks sheikhs for billions more… Never have we seen so little effort to hide so much corruption. The Mar-a-Lago mafia taking corruption to spectacular new heights.”

I listened to that on tape so many times.
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
The ensemble features Obomsawin (bass and vocals), Joshua Mathews (drums), Yuma Uesaka (saxophone), Noah Campbell (saxophone), and Alana Colvin (guitar). A famous Mpls jazz singer also joined and sang on Liberation song. I should know her name but don’t.

Where are the economists who should be calculating the trillions in brain drain we are collectively experiencing, and the long term economic impacts for the US (and everyone else) of being constantly distracted by this cabal of sociopaths?
They watched gattaca, have a sub subscription to MIT Technology Review, and read about Brave New World.
Someone really ought to write a book about the significance of #SCOTUS doing so many major things through unsigned and unexplained rulings, and how so much of it really is a recent phenomenon.
Yeah, was just down there this morning. Mostly uninviting with the massive wide streets and car-centric design, which are underutilized a lot of the time. I avoid downtown as a rural person over here in Longfellow who would rather support E. Lake St, 50th and Chicago, Nicollet, Bryant Ave, etc.
This part is confusing. I drive, walk, bus, and occasionally (ok, rarely) bike downtown. Getting around downtown is not challenging- the presence of bikes is certainly not an obvious problem. If people are struggling with the streets downtown it's a familiarity problem not a bike problem.

By Adam Platt October 28, 2022 Sept. 8, 2:23 p.m., somewhere in Edina Daniel Del Prado is lost, in a manner of speaking, in his black Porsche Carrera, on a road behind Washburn McCreavy off Hwy. 100. His Maps app is confused. “I never been here,”
Oh, what do ya know.
I heard the guy was a high-roller with nice car and watch tastes, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it all.
It’s never “US Foods/sysco/our landlords/our cogs/our choice to expand too fast/etc are putting us out of business” it’s always “we gotta pay these damn employees less than a meal costs every hour”

Now this is a how to write an op-Ed. Thank you, @dbrauer.net Dear Strib: Tired of Minneapolis City Hall Drama? Focus on Something Else. - racketmn.com/dear-strib-t...
I’ll never forget taking a class with Carolyn Cohen. We watched, I think, a BBC dramatization of the Double Helix and she stood in the back of the dark room F-bombing Watson. I then worked in her lab purifying tropomyosin as I recall. She was a riot!
Someone is gonna tell you it was nuanced. I betting within 30 min.
To Matthew from an old friend of your parents. Robert Bly 10 June 97. This is a signed poetry book page.
Cover of poetry book. Robert Bly old man rubbing his eyes
My first thought, before I read your post was the Blys. My parents knew Robert and Carol when they lived in or near Madison. I went and looked at the books I got when Mom died. There is one that Bly signed for me. I don’t recall ever seeing it! Thanks!!!

Combating bullshit like this is exactly why I’m running for CD5 DFL Chair.
The DFL is a big tent. But we have more we agree on than we disagree on. We believe in affordable housing, healthcare for all, and feeding hungry kids. 🧵
Well, bluesky is back for the SIRENS!
Read about power dynamics.
When terms like "immigration enforcement" are used to describe ICE's operations it obscures two things: The fact that this administration is doing ethnic cleansing and, as this article makes clear, that the goal is to make sure there are no safe spaces anywhere for immigrants.
Agree with everything here and will add it perpetuates the stigmas about immigration itself. Immigration is not a crime, and the existence of armed enforcement is a choice that is based on the preferred optics of racists.
I love paying TurboTax a few hundred bucks every year to figure out how much money I owe the government, which the government already knows, but won't tell me because TurboTax pays legislators to keep the government from telling me. 😍
