I now forget who I originally heard this from, but I often evoke the difference between RPG and RPG - where one is a Role playing game and one is a Roll playing game. The former is concerned with character expression and choice and the latter with stats, gear builds and power progression.

Attack, 1d6, 3-5 hits the enemy, 6 crits. HP 1d8 per level.
Classes:
Fight-man—2 damage on a hit, 5 on crit
Wiz'd—on a hit 1d4, 1.sleep 2.inferno 3.teleport 4.banish
Holy-man— on hit either heal/harm 2, both on crit
Thief—on hit, hide/steal, on crit 5 damage
Levelup after 50 miss
