Mhm, agreed. It's not worth wasting our time on something like that.

Besides, there's currently a lot of other shows that deserve our attention. I'm hearing good things about anime like Fate/Strange Fake for example.

Admittedly, I didn't see much of Redo. I saw a few clips and read the premise, but those alone sickened me enough to want to write it off as abysmal and I never want to think about it again.

Even though I haven't seen it properly, the concept alone already makes it worse than The Kingdoms of Ruin.

Oh yeah, that one was okay. At least it was better than The Kingdoms of Ruin and Redo of Hea-... I don't even want to mention that second one.

I think I've seen My Gift Level 9999.

That's the one where some little boy gets betrayed and left for dead by his crew, and he gets revenge on them one by one?

And the villain, the one who did the eye gouging, doesn't really get a satisfying enough punishment. And his death scene was played for sympathy, as if I'm supposed to feel bad for him. It's like, no I don't feel sorry for him at all.

And personally, I've never liked any eye scream scenes in any shows or movies.

The Kingdoms of Ruin has quite possibly one of, if not the worst examples I've ever see-... eugh! The eye gouging scene is the one single scene that makes me go "Fucking nope!".

I'm sure others won't find it as hard to watch, but it just hit a lot of aspects I personally find cringe-inducing.

It just goes too far for me, and it has two scenes I find extremely difficult to watch personally. And I'm someone who can easily stomach a lot of graphic content in horror movies no problem.

I don't mind dark, but this one overdoes it with very little levity.

And whenever they do have light or goofy scenes, it sticks out like a sore thumb. But to be fair, they tend to be some of the better scenes so I can't complain.

There's also an eye gouging scene, and it's one of the worst things I've ever laid my ey-... ugh, I can't even say that without cringing.

The villain responsible doesn't get a brutal enough punishment either, and the anime tries to make us feel bad for him during his death scene. Nah, fuck him.

I don't like it because the pacing feels rushed, it's super repetitive, some characters get introduced for no reason, and most of the cast are unlikeable (I know that's the point, but fucking hell). And also, it's so... bleak. I'm not expecting Doraemon or anything, but man it tries way too hard.

It's some revenge anime about a witch's apprentice who wants to go Kill Bill towards an empire/nation after his beloved mentor/friend gets humiliated and killed, or something like that.

The Kingdoms of Ruin is borderline unwatchable...
