Fresh tattoo of a pinup of Greta the Gremlin from Gremlins 2: The New Batch
One downside of trying to reduce my overall time spent on social media, means I often forget to CONTRIBUTE to said social media. Especially Bluesky, my most recent account. Whoops! May I offer you a peek at my newest tattoo as a peace offering?
Same. He's got one of my favorite voices. Loved when he was with the Steeldrivers. When I used to drink I would sit with a neat bourbon and a cigar and just vibe to them on the porch in the summer. Great memories.
Lots to love about doing sound design for community theatre, but one of my favorite things specifically is designing the pre-show music playlist for our troupe's sketch comedy show. Trying to find songs that loosely relate to the sketches is like a little treasure hunt.
Seems like if I have an Amazon gift card, using that on Fri. doesn't really benefit them, especially if NEW orders are way down - could it actually also hurt them? They still have to ship & pay vendors? This is money they ALREADY have (and are secretly hoping gets lost). Maybe I'm missing something?
Selfie of a man wearing a King Diamond Conspiracy tour t shirt
Temporarily removed my blanket to share the Conspiracy tour t-shirt I currently sport:
If you put Shea Whigham in a thing, I'm gonna love that thing.
Everyone follow along with my saga of repeatedly, accidentally watching random movies that happen to feature actors who played minor characters from the same episode of Seinfeld.
OK no one's ever gonna believe this. Tonight I'm watching The Mask, and I recognized someone ELSE. Stanley's bank manager. I looked him up. He was in the SAME EPISODE OF SEINFELD referenced above. What is happening!? Also, weirdly, the actor who plays Johnny Roastbeef in Goodfellas ALSO is in this.
Rewatching Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and thought "This woman looks familiar." And it was Suzanne Snyder, who plays Jerry's girlfriend on Seinfeld who won't taste the dessert and shakes her head. I recognized her because I just watched THAT episode last night. Weird.
Haven't been to a gym in a decade. So I decided to go to an intense cardio class yesterday. I had to stop halfway through because I almost fainted. Today I am a corpse. Usually I'd get scared and quit, but this time, in an effort to live long enough retire, I will not. But I WILL whine about it.
Edibles and Dairanger after a rich Italian dinner. Gonna be a top tier Saturday night.
The baby that someone brought to Nosferatu was surprisingly well behaved.
Haven't posted recently 'cause I took a small break from social media. Wanted to come back with hot takes. I haven't seen it on many AOTY lists, but if I do one, it'll be there. Love the brutal AND vibe tracks + I don't even mind Knife. #metalsky #deathmetalsky

This has been me for like half a decade until the last 5 or 6 months, even still missing great stuff. Transitioning to this app has helped significantly in that effort, for me. I feel that pain. I only recognize three of these albums, including one that Tim recommended to me recently lol.
Iotunn - Kinship Selbst - Despondency Chord Progressions Infant Island - Obsidian Wreath Gaerea - Coma Dvne - Voidkind Exocrine - Legend Houle - Ciel Cendre et Misรจre Noire Contention - Artillery from Heaven Noor - Mother's Guilty Pleasure Part One Unhallowed Deliverance - Of Spectres and Strife Tenue - Arcos, bรณvedas, pรณrticos Wormed - Omegon Swamp Coffin - Drowning Glory Eye Eater - Alienate Oryx - Primordial Sky
Alright, I feel like my top albums are set and so anything that comes in December will be on the 2025 list. Here are my top 15 from 2024, in order. Really hard to keep it from expanding to so many more. Thanks, and please keep sharing your lists! #metalsky2024 #metalsky
Felt like an honest-to-goodness New Englander this morning. It wasn't so much the ceremonial First Windshield Scrape of the season, so much as it was the scrape PLUS continuing to order my iced coffee despite the 23ยฐF weather.
I was just at a witchy gift shop with my wife earlier, checking out all the crystals. There were little trays of crystals cut to look like symbols, shapes, even like Darth Vader and stuff. Anyway, the most wiped out tray was the tray for dick crystals. It truly is Wiener Season, apparently.
As I get older (late 30s) I try to bear in mind that while PHYSICALLY I am starting to, uh, head back to the abyss from whence I was spawned, EMOTIONALLY and mentally I am able to grow in ways that just aren't possible in youth. Hard to keep that perspective sometimes, but I do try. Happy birthday!
I really liked Creeping Death, Coffin Rot, and Fulci this year, too.
I have recently learned - now, in fact - that when you're digesting your blueberry-waffle-ensconsed cheeseburger and Cajun fries, 1.5 hours after consuming a gummy, the best course of action is to play OpenTTD and listen to random #dungeonsynth on Bandcamp.

I sympathize with this fully. Ultimately it would be nice to have 365 of them, to make daily clothing selection a bit easier.
It absolutely does. My first listen I was sort of blown away and unable to process, but upon each listen I've just appreciated more and more. Going through the same thing with Thy Catafalque honestly.
I rediscovered a lot of punk & proto-punk at the beginning of the year, which was nice. In high school is when I shifted from punk and into melo death / metalcore, and then onwards from there. Took me 20 years to circle back to punk in a significant way. It was refreshing and fun!
It is the BEST.
Instead of a big to-do, my wife and I decided years ago just to make Thanksgiving a private, cozy day at home, just us and the cats. Today, I took edibles and read, and we also watched two movies. Next up on the itinerary: Jeopardy! Absolutely beats yelling about politics with family.
I've been trying to unlearn bad habits and teach myself how to safely growl/scream for vocals for a project I'm working on. Was finally successfully able to practice for a long stretch last night without hurting myself, so I think I've finally begun breaking the bad tendencies! Feels good. #metalsky
I'm glad I saw this, you reminded me I had my speakers cranked yesterday and I hadn't turned them down. When the meetings end I was going to listen to music, and my coworkers would have been in for a growly surprise.
This insanity completely eluded my radar until my drive to work this morning, and also made my morning. Scratches multiple of my mental itches. #metalsky

This sounds like an ideal genre TBH
