More sad news for kids and creators and the people who connect them. Hugs to all affected, which is everyone because every time something like this happens book access erodes a bit more… until we find a new way.

Awful. And ultimately the kids are the ones that are gonna hurt the most. Dial made fabulous books. This is a huge loss for the industry & society.

For the record, when he gave it to me he said, "So you may not like this...."

He knew I'd be picky about it. This is true love, haha.

Good stuff is still happening, it's just harder. Really hoping the pendulum swings back sooner rather than later. I know it WILL, I just don't want it to wreck everything further before it does. Sending 💕

I love my husband so much. Today he was out & saw a vegan hotdog, so he brought me one for dinner.

(that's how I learned that apparently I’ve hidden for 8 years that I hate hotdogs. but I tried it anyway!)

Turns out it was a great hotdog bc I absolutely hated it.

I've had this album on in the car today and I have to say it is an excellent album released last November by Spock's Beard. It encompasses everything a modern prog album should."complex and multilayered without being bewildering,"

They're disinvesting in kidlit and laying off kidlit editors as we're headed into a recession, when we all know kid's books are recession-proof because kids always gotta read. Talk about shortsighted 🤷

Sorry to go off, I just get so heated about this, esp bc so many good people I know are being laid off by these clowns who think AI can do anything they can (it can't)

Wish the tech gurus would just pivot to making working home printers

Oh and also: Friendly reminder that AI doesn't do shit, it's not good at shit, and yes, people can tell when you use it.

The reason why CEOs/middle leaders like it is because they're being sold it by tech companies that are close to bankrupt. OpenAI is in the red. They're not gonna flip their

I do believe the AI bubble will burst, because I do genuinely believe it's all a grift. But it's also a massively harmful grift that's causing job loss, brain rot, and environmental harm.

When it finally goes the route of NFTs we'll all be better off.

And if I have to read the word "deepen"
