Not a long time ago (especially if you are a redwood tree), the giant redwoods of the forest moon Endor (Ewok village) were clearcut mere months after filming. These ancient trees were destroyed in an instant for the Empire's insidious logging operations.

Lots of beginner mistakes but I'm pretty pleased with myself! New market displays to be stained. A beautiful spring day for learning how to work wood.

After getting the precise cuts just right, jigsaw block printing is a really simple and satisfying way to print in multi-color.

Two individual linocut portrait prints of punks

One of the blocks the portrait is printed from inked up. The light is hitting the eyes of the carved portrait, the effect is quite spooky.

It's #portrait day here on #printpromptmonday - I made these self-portrait and favorite guy fan art stamps more than a few years ago, based on film photographs taken by our friend Learning.
