He sanoivat olevansa experttejä.

No niin, ehdin viimein tehdä ketjun UTAKin tuoreen selvityksen keskeisimmistä tuloksista.
Vuodesta 2031 alkaen velkajarru edellyttää, että Suomen julkinen velkasuhde laskee keskimäärin vähintään 0,75 %-yks. vuodessa, kunnes velkasuhde on alle 40 % BKT:stä.

UTAKin uusi selvitys suunnitellun noin 10 mrd sopeutuksen kansantaloudellisista vaikutuksista on nyt julkaistu. Laajan selvityksemme on kirjoittanut @ottokyyronen.bsky.social. Keskeiset johtopäätökset ovat:
1) Sopeutuksen talouskasvua heikentäviä vaikutuksia on merkittävästi vähätelty.
The matter-of-fact way she asks what investors should do if Trump destroys Iran. Absolutely wild.
"Let's talk about tonight, this deadline that President Trump has set 8 p.m., has threatened to destroy a civilization. How does an investor process that? Is it a bigger upside risk or downside risk?"
I wanted to get this up quickly--you know, pre-Armageddon--so I failed to include my rage at so much of the legacy media for sane-washing this motherfucker, from 2015 right up through today. The NYT called his "end of civilization" post a "grave threat."
Seriously, what the fuck is this.
This is completely deranged, and anyone who can’t say so is a coward.
Jos joku väittää yhteisten asioiden hoidosta puhuttaessa:
a) että (yhteiskuntatieteellinen) akateeminen tutkimus on vankka perusta, lähes kritiikin ulkopuolella
b) että hän itse esittää ideologia-vapaita käsityksiä a'han nojaten ...

Constitutional lawyer here. I don't think it would violate the Constitution for the VP/Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, but the intended constitutional remedy for this behavior is impeachment & removal. The fact that that remedy is politically impossible is a scandal and a crisis.
NEW: Trump aides gutted offices that aimed to counter anti-American disinformation by foreign powers. Now the US finds itself embattled in an info war with Iran, Russia and China. The State Dept. tells diplomats to use X and work with Pentagon psyops teams. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/04/01/b...
Osuva kommentti Timo Virtaselta.
I assure you that if 8 million right leaning protesters had turned out against Obama it the NYT would have given it banner treatment eg POPULIST REVOLT
Paljon jää hakematta. Tukien alikäyttö on huomattavasti suurempi ongelma kuin niiden väärinkäyttö (kansainvälisestikin). Tätä on tutkittu. Varmaan uudempaakin tietoa löytyisi.

I don't think people fully appreciate how apocalyptic things are for US science. I haven't had any new funding since 2024, but I'm still ok since typical grants are for three years. This means next year I will be completely out of funding and will have to fire everyone in the lab. It's not great.
What's wild is that this current war is indistinguishable from a deliberate plan to frighten countries away from petrostates & into the arms of the world's dominant electrostate.
Congressional Republicans: We can only win this year's elections if we change the rules
Trump just raged at our NATO allies for refusing to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz and bail him out of the fiasco he created. He threatened to withdraw from NATO with childish insults.
This is best seen as an admission of serious political weakness. 1/

There's a hauntingly beautiful irony in these morons thinking that carefully crafted American hegemony was actually weak and woke, and they would be the ones who would do Power and Dominance properly, and immediately bringing everything crashing down
Puffing Trump’s delusions about the economy as if they were on track until ten days ago is peak NYTimes soft-pedaling Trump’s furious unreality and both-sides-ing it with actual documentable reality
"I ASSUMED the US Military had an active plan to open the Strait." How can people who are paid to understand geopolitics be so bafflingly naive?
what i want to see out of future democratic party leaders is a recognition that federal spending is legitimately good, that we should do more of it, and that doing so will require collective contribution that many, many people are going to scream absolute bloody murder about
It’s become obvious that the Trump administration gave zero thought to how this war would play out. Even now, though, I don’t think they quite appreciate how locked in they are to a complete and total clusterfuck. danieldrezner.substack.com/p/im-sick-an...
Soviet style problems
The consequences of this war for Americans will be bleak and take decades to unfold, but it will impoverish and provincialize them in ways that would have been unimaginable ten years ago
A handful of Republicans in Congress & Supreme Court can end this nightmare any time they choose, and history will remember them as saviors of the republic, no matter what terrible things they did to US in last 10 years: insane we cannot find a few volunteers for this plum deal!
The U.S. military has really begun to flirt with doing itself generational damage in terms of professionalism and permanent damage in terms of reputation. If we come away from this conflict looking like Russia or Israel, it will take decades to undo.
Occam's Razor is that people told Trump that Iran was Venezuela Part 2, and that Trump believed that. Most everything is explained by this. Trump wanted to appear to have "solved" a problem that others were too "weak" to solve, that's the thing he desires most in life.
Coffee, straight out of my nose.
A little bit obsessed with all the nut clusters currently ‘ashamed to be British’ because Starmer didn’t sign us up to this shit show.
