the last time i overdid with soju was when a friend and i were watching AYS season 1, and we said we had to take a shot every time jk said he loved it. he was SO happy, and we got WASTED

every time he came on camera, he was just making love to that mic. such stage presence! he's incredible

haha be careful! soju can sneak up on you even in a fruity cocktail. i tend not to like sweet stuff (give me original flavor soju, highballs, vodka tonics, tequila and ginger ale...) and need a lot to keep the buzz going. soju is so fun to play with

i forgot to mention that i don't use flavored soju for the somaek. also ... i tend to chug it bc it's fun and i'm not a huge beer fan so i need to drink it quickly for a quick buzz. just like with any hard liquor, i always drink water in between to avoid headaches and hangovers

sometimes i have melona bars (like fruit popsicles) and i mix those for more of a frozen feel. honestly i eyeball things a lot. you can also do somaek, which is soju and beer. i think it's ... 30-70 ratio? start with soju, pour over the beer, and then kinda drive a spoon down hard to get it to mix

hmmmm there are tons around, but i use whatever i have in the house. sometimes if i have strawberries and strawberry soju, i'll dice the strawberries, pour some soju, pour some milkis? do you have milkis? it also comes in different flavors.

i tend to avoid the flavored because i like the original for shots, which is how i usually drink it. with flavored, i usually mix it into a cocktail.

i think it pairs better with meat? but also it depends on how you drink it (taking shots vs. mixing it into a cocktail). flavored soju is going to be a bit sweeter, so maybe that's good for seafood?
