Similar issue last year. Whole-staff CPD on some basic T&L then time to implement/improve. Thus we had the in for some careful conversations about their practice.

Seeking some advice, please!

I’m a new Headteacher and I’ve inherited a large SLT, but the roles aren’t clear. We’ve got two DHTs, two AHTs, a SENCO and an SBM.

Three of the top five British grid electricity records smashed in 2025!

This is a huge success story, despite what Russian bots and U.S fossil fuel shills scream on X.

Every unit of clean domestic energy we produce means a safer future for our children…🥳

Most people owning houses worth more than £2 million are richer than the wildest dreams of the majority of the population and knowing other people who own houses worth £2 million doesn't make this any less true.

The nature of fascism and why it differs from populism Fascism isn’t populism; it fuses leader-worship with organised violence to crush opposition entirely and decisively at roots

Fascism is rare, but its logic isn’t gone.

Understanding its real nature helps us recognise when politics starts drifting towards something far more dangerous than populism.

I could also do with funding to allow me to pay SEND point to the TA wage to reflect the significant and complex needs they’re dealing with in mainstream.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Wow - those are quite phenomenal headlines given the details of the story.

Ahh look, he’s just a ‘nerdy’ guy. No harm done.

You need to scroll down to paragraph 13 of the Sky piece to find the full story!

LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Spend on Union flags defended
Reform UK-led Nottinghamshire
County Council has defended plans to spend £75,000 on purchasing Union flags.
More than 150 flags in 82 locations will be displayed.
But opposition politicians questioned if the expenditure was a good use of public money.
Sam Smith, Conservative leader of the opposition, said:
"To spend £75,000 of taxpayers' money on flags seems a bit ridiculous."
Labour MP for Mansfield, Steve Yemm, said: "My constituents will be appalled."

REFORM UK
Doge' unit fails to carry out audits
Reform UK's so-called "Doge" unit has carried out no audit work in the councils it won control of nearly six months ago.
The party vowed swingeing efficiency cuts to council budgets, in the mould of Elon Musk's US Department of Government Efficiency, after gaining control of nine local authorities across England in May.
Deputy party leader Richard Tice told the Financial Times it was never the "intention to audit them, because audits are expensive".

Hey… but come on… audits - where you find out what your budgets are, what money is being spent and how much you have left - are expensive… and only something proper grownups do.

Reform just wants racist bunting and to hell with constituents and cost.

One simple thing we do is always model in an absent child’s book under the visualiser (priority to most vulnerable). It means they’ve got an example and makes the catch-up quicker. It works for irregular attendees better than persistent abs.

It has been a real struggle getting the 2 staff I have in breakfast club currently. Additional hours, facilities, costs, space… it’s another thing to worry about, much as I appreciate the intent.
