I love that you do these and I'd love to participate but I never know or see where they start. ๐
I also fall off my own music posts that I do, so ๐ซ
I'd probably not see these through always. ๐
It's sooooo good
Enjoyed it, they finally turned up her mic in the mix at the end of the set it sounds like, at least for us at home.
Ethel Cain at #Coachella. Hell yeah.
Anyone else watching the #Coachella livestream? www.coachella.com/youtube-live...
Much different tone than the poppiness of a lot of Copper Blue, that's for sure. ๐ Great music, all the way through for them.
The opening of this song is so compelling. First time I heard it, I had to listen. Great song.
Not sure why or how this song got stuck in my head this morning, but maybe there's a message in there for someone.

Such Stewart. ๐
Bonus song because it's one of my favorite covers that he does: "All I Have To Do Is Dream" tidal.com/track/245568...

Photo of a black vinyl record with a green label with the Chrysalis record label & logo in orange on an Audio-Technica turntable, displayed alongside the self-titled album cover for Leo Kottke showing a colorful, painterly illustration of Leo himself playing an acoustic 6-string guitar, rendered in bold reds, yellows, and blues.

I kinda forget now where I heard Leo Kottke first. Such great guitar playing. Saw him open for Lyle Lovett & his Large Band on Mud Island in Memphis in '92. Perfect setting for it. I got way into him after that, my dad already had this #vinyl. Have a listen & enjoy!

I mostly knew the music from The Cutting Edge, a show on MTV. "Kinetic Ritual" was the theme song. But when I got to college, this kid on my dorm floor @tcervo.bsky.social had the original #vinyl because he was a big Police-head. We were instant friends. โบ๏ธ
I also alphabetized this with Joplin because it's his music. ๐
Photo of a black vinyl record with a label showing the sun in a cloudy sky and an illustration of an angel on an Audio-Technica turntable, displayed alongside the album cover for Scott Joplin: The Red Back Book, performed by the New England Conservatory Ragtime Ensemble conducted by Gunther Schuller. The cover features an illustrated group of Black musicians in red uniforms holding various instruments including a trombone, trumpet, and a double bass, with a bass drum in the foreground.

I have a few albums of Scott Joplin music, maybe my dad bought them for me because I liked the music so much? But the 2 Joshua Rifkin albums are cracked so I'm throwing them out.
This #vinyl, however, is perfect.
โฆnot the eyes. Which is what I'd assume you were talking about since it's the last noun in the sentence. But maybe not, since it's a clause after the 9 lives, but still. Why eyes and not sized? "cat-sized" describes the 9 lives & gives that context, I don't know what cat's eyes are doing here. ๐น
So, I had occasion to look up the lyrics to Back In Black and was sure that the lyric was "I got 9 lives, cat-sized, abusin' every one of themโฆ" but now all the lyric sites say "9 lives, cat's eyes" and that just doesn't make sense to me. ๐
Like, you'd be abusing every one of the cat-sized livesโฆ
That tracks. โบ๏ธ Great music.

Not sure why I skipped over this after 52nd Street. But another great album. I think I mostly like side 1 of 52nd Street but this one has lots of bangers. Plus a memory of listening to it on a field trip next to a river in my mountain town. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
Really nice. โบ๏ธ
Yeah. โบ๏ธ Took us a few episodes to really get into it at first, but after the end of the Herb Ertlinger episode in season 1, we were in. ๐
Love that show! We're probably on a 5th rewatch at this point. ๐ It's so easy to just turn on & have playing while we do other stuff. I assume you liked it? โบ๏ธ
It's so cool and weird and cool! ๐
"Also maybe the best comment section Iโve ever seen on YouTube. ๐"
Sent this to my (adult) children today:
"Ok, yโall know I love me some performance, & pure art.
Iโm not asking you to watch & listen to the whole thing, but this is fucking insane & I want you to experience it because itโs fucking insane in the greatest of ways. โบ๏ธ"

Fuckin' love that song. So alluring, even as a child.
