Akira has to be the most engaging first volume of any comic series I've ever read. Every panel is dynamic. The level of detail is incredible. Definitely one of those series I want to soak in every moment, but damn, it's so fast-paced, I fly through the pages. So immersive! #comicbooks #manga

As I write this new OGN, I’m getting excited about Al the cool stuff I’ll get to draw. It’s going to push me creatively as much as FULL TILT did.

I had a great meeting with editor, @thefictioncoach.bsky.social , concerning my new OGN. He is so good at drawing out story elements from me. I feel like the roadmap of my book just got a whole lot clearer!

I just told my editor, @thefictioncoach.bsky.social , the name of my new book. So it is officially official now!

I told my wife the name of my new OGN. I guess it became official.

The truck Ansel's sitting in is one of three, and you can see them as specs. Ansel: They won't unless there's a huge problem. Final panel, full bleed. Another birds-eye view, miles away, of the trucks driving along the same freeway as it passes through what was once miles of track and trailer homes, fading into the hills in the distance. A portion of the subdivision nearer the viewer has burnt to the ground and if you squint you can see eerie evidence of the area's complete abandonment.

Artist Gary Martin dropped this Byrne Wolverine recreation over on the cesspool where I should no longer be very shortly, and I dressed it up and colored it faithfully to the original, which I should probably collect this year.

2024 was a pretty awesome year for me, creatively speaking.

After roughly 6 years of writing and drawing (and sleepless nights of wondering if I had made a huge mistake betting on myself), my 307 page OGN was delivered to the 700 amazing supporters of the hugely successful crowdfunding campaign.
