In Ireland too, we pay high road tax, we pay a tax on a first car, ( vrt) and we pay a lot for our Cars. It's supposed to help build infrastructure, it bugs us. But thats one of the downsides, not everything is rosy. Still though we are trying to make public transport more easily available
