This is one Pope who's hard on crime... and even harder on the streets.
POPE COP
Thursdays at 8/7c. Only on ABC.
and, yes, I know, real vs nominal prices, blah blah blah. put another way: the apartment I lived in in 2008, the rent was 60 minimum wage hours. Now it's 80 minimum wage hours for the same unit
every time I see an old apartment of mine come up for rent and they're asking twice what I paid, I cry a bit.

They beat you and will celebrate with your worst music
CBC just called Trump’s unhinged late night senile racist posting “a plan”
Flashback to the time I created Judith Butler as a custom wrestler in WWE 2K24 (complete with a ring announcer call-out).
Straight from the WWE Gender Performance Center!
I went down the numbers station rabbit hole and ended up taking an amateur radio course. It rules. Still haven’t sat the exam to get licensed tho.
I am proactively declaring your goties null and void if they do not include this game, as close to a must-play as such a thing exists
Me, live on air: “maybe there’s gonna be a big rock move on side 2, but at this point I doubt it”

side 2: immediate big rock move

$200,000 is an absolutely insane figure for cash-in-lieu.
God willing that will not be for much longer.
A bunch of games that are canonical to me have pretty good deals right now in the steam sale. A few favorites:
Twin Peaks title screen with Sonic-inspired text reading "Green Hill Zone, Act 1."
This is a nuclear bomb to Ontario's democracy. The Ford government wants to obfuscate absolutely everything it does.
I always wondered about Heath / Tichester!
A Google Maps screenshot of St Clements Ave in Toronto. On the left, there is a sidewalk which ends abruptly. There are two fire hydrants, one on either side of where the sidewalk ends. Similarly, two manholes are visible on the street on either side of that line.
I grew up near the tripoint of Forest Hill, North Toronto, and Toronto Exclave 3, and there's so much that this explains. My favourite example, which apparently is still there: a sidewalk that randomly ends, with a fire hydrant and manhole on either side.
you can even make your whole family communist, there’s no law saying you can’t
Why...did CNN do this
Hey baby, are you the Government of Canada? Because you’re an incompetent racist.
Have a lover caress you the way the Canadian establishment caresses John Tory.
It’s Bandcamp Friday! I put out a new single last weekend that I’m real proud of; check it out, why not?

The Mario 64 intro scene with a letter from Princess Peach, reading: Dear Mario. Please come to the castle. I'm down bad. Yours truly-- Princess Toadstool (Peach)
CATS from the video game Zero Wing (the All Your Base Are Belong To Us game), saying: "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is Futile"
Dracula from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, saying to Richter "Get out of my house"
The transportation advisor from SimCity 2000, saying "YOU CAN'T STAY ON TWITTER! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!"
My big project: The Death Generator.
It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything.

I am *so* fascinated by the rural opposition to the Alto high-speed rail project that I've been seeing pop up.
I can't shake the feeling that, even if the people speaking out locally are sincere, there's an astroturf or misinformation campaign behind it - but lord knows what the angle is.
An article in the Peterborough Examiner, with the headline “Man dies after vehicle crashes into building”.
The vehicle just crashed on its own. And then a man died - but let’s be careful not to imply causation.
