I really need to sort out a sketch card of Rampage this year and get my BW Predacon set finished and framed.

I’m still not convinced Zelda will work live action generally (especially re: whether Link talks or not; Metroid Prime 4 has me doubting whether Nintendo has a solution to that).
I doubted whether even a faithful Link costume would look plausible in reality and not just cosplay. But it seems to.
I'm not going to repost it, because hey you might not want to see it (it's on Eurogamer if you do), but if that supposed Link costume for the live action Zelda movie looks pretty great.
Starmer trusted his first-choice chief of staff, Sue Gray, to have prepared an oven-ready plan for power, which Labour would roll out the day after winning the election. It turned out no such plan existed. Starmer then replaced Gray with his election mastermind McSweeney, who had been serving in a political director role. McSweeney was given the power to provide political input on Starmer's behalf into a huge swathe of policy decisions across government and, for a time, things improved. https://www.politico.eu/article/keir-starmer-dangerous-leadership-style-uk-peter-mandelson/
“Starmer assumed Gray had a super-secret plan for governing but she didn’t so they did nothing” is such a wild line, and the hacks seem so uninterested in learning more about this astonishing, farcical setup
product image from amazon where one of the answers is "to be fully transparent as an AI"
Help I found this journal on amazon and the prompts in the image were clearly filled out by AI
ok this is a good poster with a good tagline
Admittedly in those situations there's an element of "I'm so done with this game's stupid puzzles and I just want it done", but still, it's broadly similar to someone using GenAI to not have put thought into tasks they don't want to do.
This feels like using built in hint systems in adventure games. There are some games I've played with them, especially games with shitty puzzle design, where I resorted to them with increasing frequency, not just because it removes the friction of puzzle-solving, but I become less inclined to think.
Bury The Chains by Adam Hochschild is an incredible read. It’s the history of the UK slavery abolition movement.

Makes you understand why they all followed each other off cliffs.
Be honest: would you rather have a cure for cancer? Or a machine that can’t add and gets recipes wrong?
I want to read you a quote in early March from Yair Lapid, who is not part of the Netanyahu coalition but who is a sort of opposition and, within Israeli politics, understood as a moderate-centrist figure. He says: "In the end we will have no choice but to try to create some kind of sterile zone in southern Lebanon — not huge, but something somewhat similar to the yellow line in Gaza ——" Which is more than half of Gaza that Israel now controls —— "That is to say, an area with no Lebanese villages in it, but rather a completely clean strip of land between the last Lebanese village and the first Israeli settlement." He adds: "It might be unaesthetic, perhaps, or unpleasant to scrape away two or three Lebanese villages, but they brought it upon themselves. It’s their problem. No one told them they had to become the host state of a terrorist organization."
Particularly struck by this quote, by an opposition Israeli politician, which illustrates how entrenched the posture of territorial expansion and permanent conquest is in the Israeli state now.
He was allowed to become Foreign Sec, validated the people who’d warned he was a security risk at the Lebedev’s villa, yet still got to be PM & put Lebedev Jr. in the HoL against security advice.
The 🇬🇧 establishment is profoundly unserious about national security.

It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly
Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way
The gap-bridging between karting and F3 is just F4 generally though and women do compete in that anyway. There’s something to be said for Academy being international and well funded vs the regional F4s but it’s giving a leg up on the wrong rung of the ladder (to butcher a metaphor).
@officialsuper7.bsky.social Hey. Any word on when we'll get a first look at the Visionaries Reaction+ figures? And anything from the Law & Order line? I'm looking forward to having Lenny Briscoe arresting Darkstorm.
I had to track down a contact email address and point out that the chances of rain gullies in the council-owned verges, adjacent to the council-owned pavements being privately owned, especially by the original housing company (as they suggested) who built this estate *as council housing* is slim.
Because they're not on the roads, they're not on the councils' interactive node network of drains in their online tool.
When I tried to manually report them, they claimed they must be privately owned (which makes no sense) and closed off my report from any reply.
Small victory of the moment: I seem to have convinced my county council that they do in fact have responsibility for the rain gullies in my village that are set into the grass verges and pavements rather than the road and it looks like they're going to clean them out for the first time in decades.
Formula E's no better with its women's tests program, which with the rookie tests, just makes female drivers a preferred option for support driver roles, rather than a viable choice for race seats, as Nissan is proving by making Academy champ Abbi Pulling specifically a "rookie and test" driver.
If the FIA was serious about getting women into F1, they'd used the F1 Academy money to pay for power steering in F3 and F2, or start a series actually parallel to them for women that has it. F1A using F4 cars just sets its drivers up for more visible "failure" in F3 and F2.
I'm not against a female-focused feeder series, but unless it actually addresses all the issues female drivers have on the F1 ladder - sponsorship (which F1A does) but mainly the lack of power-steering in F2 and F3, which those series refuse to add for cost reasons - it's pointless.
"[Pin's ultimate goal of reaching F1] might remain a long shot for now given Pin has moved away from the single-seater ladder,"
F1 Academy once again, like W Series before it, proving itself to be a ladder to pretty much nowhere but media ops.
