Now i just have to buy 2xwaistline+60cm of muslin bias tape to make the belt/string that ties the skirt
I'll fold the bias tape on the waistline edge, and place tight, straight stitches aaall the way through the bias tape. Tricky part will be to center the skirt onto the bias tape, i'll update then!

To make the edges of the length side i chose the tightest zigzag pattern my sewing machine allowed, and i tried to always place the outside stitch outside of the fabric.
Go very slowly so that there's a good concentration of stitches on the length. Not enough stitches = edge not held properly.

Diagram of fabric pinned on a couch in five places : 2 pins on the corners just cutted, 3rd pin on the waistline 30cm away from the waistline corner pin, 4rth pin in front of the 3rd on the length, 5th pin somewhere between 2nd and 4th pins so that the arc passing through pins 2, 5 and 4 is nice and tangent to the length on pin 4.

Then cut the front parts : pin in place the fabric on the waistline 30cm away from the front you just cutted, and cut in an arc so that it joins the ends nicely (that was a bitch to do lmao, ended up pinning the fabric to my couch to hold it still while i cutted)

There i fount the place in the circle where the length was at the minimum (cause i didn't have a proper rectangle of fabric) and i cutted the circle there : it is the front

Length was : the max my fabric allowed lmao but ideally you should measure the length you want by letting measuring tape fall from your waist (on the butt! Otherwise you will cut too short)

Repeat the first step but this time starting from the waistline you just cutted, with the length you measured

Start with a circle skirt : fold the fabric in fourths and cut from the folded corner a quarter circle of radius=(waistline+2x30cm)/(2π)

Finally done! Took me about a month in between everything else, but overall, pretty solid piece <3 I loved bringing the boys to life in a more medieval setting, on their way to their first jousts.
