as for future content on the *Lynxmic* channel specifically, I do still plan new content in 2026 especially with this year marking the 10th anniversary of the channel, so look forward for those as well

albeit very occasionally though, I dont see myself being involved in the project as much anymore

AstroNT making your usual tech videos. that's it :3 maintained by KitSixtyFour and KayAurora. © 2025-2026 AstroNT Team. All Rights Reserved

another thing, I forgor to post about it here when it happened but for a while now (almost 3 mnths) I've been part of a team for a different tech YT channel (youtube.com/@AstroNTWork...)

I'd recommend subbing there as thats where I've been focused more and enjoy making *tech* videos more for lately

hey! no promises but I'm planning on going live this weekend.

I just feel like checking in and engaging with the channel's audience of 1.5k+ subs as I (@kay.is-a.dev) am slowly (but surely) returning to the content creation space for real.
I don't know how it'll go, but we only have to see~

Using MS-DOS as a Daily Use OS
Using MS-DOS as a Daily Use OS YouTube video by MoreLynxmic

here is the vid if anyone wants to watch it: youtu.be/vjFQAdESWm4

according to myself back then, the reason was "I just didn't feel like having it up anymore for whatever reason"

in fact the video was *mid*, and i mean it. all i actually did was just explore ms-dos and do basic operations, hence why i felt like it simply just didnt qualify as a lynxmic video

4 months ago 0 0 1 0

fun fact: Using MS-DOS as a Daily Use OS was initially uploaded on the main channel in 21 November 2019. it was later taken down and then uploaded on the 2nd channel in 5 Jan 2020

MoreLynxmic #MyYearOnYouTube2025 email, showing the channel's top video as "Using MS-DOS as a Daily Use OS" with 153 views, 2 likes and 4 hours watch time. According to the same email, MoreLynxmic was started on 3 May 2015 (remember the channel initially had a different purpose pre-Lynxmic), which means at least 3,871 days have passed since then. The email also reveals that 1 community post was created by the channel

tfw you consider 2021 the most inactive year for your channel (which it was either way for Lynxmic!) just to then find out that you actually made 3 streams in a month that year

📹 New Video!

This one used to be a personal channel video, but i decided to have it become a Lynxmic video after all, since I do kinda wanna focus the personal one into smth else in the future and this was the only ""tech"" video that was still there soooo~

next is wiping the ssd and putting in something else
might go with either debian trixie or windows ltsc, probably debian
i just dont know precisely how much my irl uncertainty will last, theres a high possibility it will take even 6+ mnths so it might be a good idea to try new things in the meantime

most of my local archive previously stored on the hp laptop has finally been (temporarily) moved into usb flash drives (most of it) and sd cards

i thought there would've been more and more stuff having been accumulated over the past 2 yrs with this archive storage, surprised it's not waaay too much

It's now possible to uninstall Microsoft Edge in Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise LTSC without having to set the region to the EU!

I just wanna try keep in an all-retro vibe, and if I need the modern web I could just deal with the pain thats called supermium ("pain" bcs it uses quite a lot of resources)

fun fact: the "Vista on 18yo laptop" video was planned to have a either a separate segment or sequel installing the extended kernel just to be able to run modern programs

the vid never actually happened although the terrain was already prepared, and now I dont really wanna install it anymore

Update: im just gonna cancel the stream entirely

Im srry but i-i just dont feel like it

Most likely I'll only strive to get the Windows 10 video up on time at least, and then what is next remains to be seen

Oh one more thing I'd like to add, I haven't necessarily been mentally stable these past few months, various irl events and circumstances have been putting a toll on my mental health and I dont really expect things to improve anytime soon

won't really have much time for the next 2 weeks due to The Usual Events, once they pass i will begin actually working on the lynxmic videos planned for fall (at least 2, maybe 3 with the filler initially planned this month, or even 4 or more if anything notable happens during this time, who knows)
