Von der Beschreibung hätte ich eher auf "So tief die Wilde See" oder "Call of Cthulhu" getippt, die Tags sagen was anderes aber eventuell lässt es sich ja anpassen. Leider kein DSA Fan.

Reddit mods are generally on a power trip. They ban without a reason, mute banned people so they can't even appeal, make up arbitrary rules and aren't held accountable or supervised by Reddit itself.
Mausritter has such low prep demands and even less so when using an adventure. It's my go to ad hoc TTRPG.

I prep 7 NPCs at most following the 7-3-1 Method and never worried. 45 NPCs all ahead seems excessive.
For anyone struggling with players verbally overriding others, I recommend checking out this technique: burnafterrunningrpg.com/2023/03/20/t...
Spotlighting. If it's not their turn or their character is not in the focus I'll say sth. like "Hold that thought, right now <char name X> is active". If it's OOC then I'd even request to wait until the scene it session is through.
In my experience it takes around 3 sessions for (most) players of tactical TTRPGs to come around and enjoy narrative play. Many struggle because they are not used to the fiction being first but rather stick to their stat tables and "calculated" characters. They are like a fish out of the water.
If things do not make sense by our common logic - that is what makes something magical.
I always wondered how so much stuff can possibly be available there. Do they not check at all? Manuals and public documents I can see but there is so much more on this platform, it's ridiculous.
Hm!
Doofe Situation.

Escape from Dino Island is my #1 recommended TTRPG for anyone who is completely new to pbta games or only played trad games. Both as a GM and player there is plenty of help to get accustomed to narrative focused role-playing.
I'm guessing this pops up in my stream because the algo though you were talking about Dungeon Crawl Classics.
As much as I understand about Dungeoncrawler Carl, the story mostly takes place in some kind of arena with levels. Imagining something like Hunger Games I would expect plenty of violence.
My personal rule is - play the TTRPG at least once as the author(s) intended it. If everything works to portray the setting and abilities of the characters, NPCs and what not then fine. Otherwise trim or smooth out things that got in the way or make no sense.
Remember when they had to rewrite game of thrones for soccer moms and football fans?
In my youth I always had to help in the kitchen, peeling potatoes, carrots, chopping etc. basically giving my mom a hand with the prep work. I hated it as a kid, but now enjoy it. Cooking needs passion and if you don't have it, it can be awful for everyone. Hopefully you can find that passion.
The only plan that Trump kind of has is destroying democracy and Project 2025. And even at that he fails.
Is that the case? Is there a survey or poll? Never heard about people finding it more difficult. Why would sci-fi be less interesting? It may be less popular as ttrpg genre in general, so there is less publivity around it.
I like the idea behind it but depending on circumstances or character advancement it can go overboard. I've played Star Wars FFG where we needed 3 sets of dice for some rolls. It was insane and just figuring out the cancelling of dice and advantages etc. takes away a lot of momentum.
IDK Traveller and Mothership have great modules/adventures.
Though it's often the GMs job of being on the lookout for narrative move triggers (or players just announce the move and then describe it)
Not petty - but he was "just" cancelled, but not convicted. Mob rule or rather judgement of morality is less reliable and steady than the rule of law.
Bin gespannt. Sind mit "fixen" die komischen Fallen-Mechanismen gemeint?
