Took me the best part of the day but managed to replace most of my save files after testing them.
The only ones that I had problems with were Double Dash!!, Soul Calibur II and Rsident Evil 4.
Accidentally formatted my Gamecube memory card last night, which is really annoying as I had over 20 years of saves on it.
Looks like a trip to GC Saves is in order as I am *not* redoing a handful of games all over again ๐

Metroid Prime 2 is the only instalment of the original trilogy that I haven't played, so it makes sense to get that out the door.

Finally finished Yakuza 5 last night!
As I was playing the JP version, I chose to focus on the gameplay rather than translate every aspect of the story.
I enjoyed it as much as the other games but the final gauntlet was a massive slog, so I'm glad it's over.

There have been sections where Google Translate has been very helpful but, other than that, I'm no stranger to bulldozing my way through the language barrier.

Bought this cool CD player for a fiver at a charity shop a couple of weeks ago.
Not only is it wall-mounted, it's also activated by a pull cord not too dissimilar to a bathroom light ๐
And I also thought it badly needed a Dreamcast logo. Don't ask why ๐
This was true at the time as the only English-language version of Yakuza 5 is the digital-only one and SEGA hilariously wants ยฃ25 for it.

Now the PS3 series will actually conclude with J-Yakuza 5 for only ยฃ8. Couldn't say no.

No, *you* stayed up until half-two this morning to complete the first chapter of DOOM: Legacy of Rust.
It took me a few attempts to finally get the last two kills I needed for complete 100%.

Not sure how I feel. On the one hand, the game is hard, so completing it is an achievement in itself... but the ending was extremely anticlimactic.

Been on Rayman for a few months and finally reached the last level... but I need a few more lives for this one.
While I'm grinding for them, let's end the year the same way I did in 2024 & 2023: with DOOM.

After many months and a repaired PS3, Yakuza Dead Souls is finally finished with. It was an interesting idea but a broken aim mechanic really lets the game down.
That also brings an end to what I call the original PS2/3 series. Now I can start the PS4 games, beginning with Zero.
