Hampshire College to close permanently after fall 2026 semester Emma McCorkindale
While Hampshire’s case is in some ways unique, it is amazing to think that in a single lifetime - about 70 years - the US founded the greatest public and liberal arts college system in the world and then destroyed it, to build prisons, give tax cuts to the rich, and own the libs
truly awful times. i fear the academy will become cookie cutter corp nation

dear theatre, every bit
i sang a song today in front of some ppl in class. hadnt done that in a long while. was nice.
its glaring. and i am so tired of "fierce" work ignoring its ableism
lets just say i am thinking how plays/ shows are cast and how accessibility is also mostly an afterthought in a lot of shows that supposedly center historically marginalized folx, and how disability, unless the makers are disabled themselves, rarely factors into the creation and design of a show.
waiting for much of queer theatre to give up on its commitment to ableism.
Hampshire College is closing.
💔
incredible film! so great!
Harold Pinter’s cold-eyed screenplay, against Gerry Fisher’s lush cinematography, Michael Legrand’s tremendous score, magnificently fierce Margaret Leighton, hot Alan Bates: Joseph Losey’s The Go-Between is a wonder and it’s Julie Christie’s 86th birthday so spoil yourself.

i saw Pacino do Buffalo, and the original Bwy cast of Glengarry... im good.
but i will give a shout out to Katherine Hahn's inspired, brilliant American Dolls short version of Glengarry which she streamed from home as part of the Geffen's once very playful digital series. back when we used to play
