I love self hosting but convenience is a tough thing to shy away from
PC's packed while moving so revisiting some old projects on my MacBook. Built this little 'engine' in C# a while back. Doesn't look like much but for a first custom engine, a basis for a tile map is a pretty big deal to me.
Thanks for the feedback! Colour palette is high on the to-do list. I was planning to block stuff in and revise and merge colours down the line. Pillow shading is a problem for me, art isn't final though, and scale is a consequence of it being a social game, needs breathing room for multiple players

Lazy art update. Aseprite's Jumble tool is amazing, I'll add in dynamic grass on top of this though. Camera with deadzone is done though, might add in some easing. It's a lobby now, just need to add in stuff to do.. #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart #webdev

Web3 was a marketing ploy to create pump and dump schemes. It’s a shame though, for all the shit they get I do think NFTs are a really good idea, just not for slop art.
