Electability is a legitimate reason to vote for someone. The GOP was hoping she would win because while Cornyn/Paxton are not loved, having the opportunity to vote AGAINST Crockett would bring out disillusioned republicans planning to stay home in November.

The polling was completely skewed for Crockett. They were polling "likely Democratic voters". Nothing new and of course she was going to poll well with urban liberals. Talarico isn't just courting them, he's going for the whole state. He's got a real shot at winning this.
