So I think I need to take a break from this site for a few days. The change has been positive but it's been a lot and overwhelming. I might need to do this every so often until I get used to my kinks not being a deep dark secret anymore lol.
Sadly though, my paranoia has been coming out again, I think because of how much attention my art got. Staring at the numbers on my account all day, refreshing over and over, using tools to check who unfollowed/blocked me, looking through/vetting the accounts of every new follower.. It's exhausting.
Anyway, this isn't *only* about feral, it's about my other taboo kinks too, like noncon and gore and whatever else. But my shame about the feral stuff was the biggest obstacle I had to get over so this thread ended up being a bit more about that than anything else.
All the support has been very lovely and helpful to my paranoia, so thank you. But I also feel like I'm entering a whole new community and I don't really know what I'm doing. I still feel like an outsider, or like a poser or something, y'know? I hope that feeling starts to go away soon.
The very first feral art I posted here, the other day, it's gotten so much attention and support. More than most of my other art I've posted. I should be happy, and I *am*, but the number of eyes on it is also TERRIFYING. I'm not used to this secret being out in the open yet and I feel vulnerable.
It's been my "dirty little secret" for years now that I even enjoy NSFW feral stuff, and I only started drawing it last year, and even then I was feeling a great deal of shame about it. It still feels weird to draw it tbh, and I'm not super confident in my abilities yet, but at least I'm free!
I had over 150+ words muted and 1k+ accounts blocked back when I used to use Twitter and even then my feed was constantly full of callout posts and drama over kink. Kinks that I secretly had this whole time, and it just pushed me to hide even more.
My biggest fear since starting to draw porn has been that I would get bullied off of whatever platform I'm posting on because of my kinks.
I spent years watching it happen to other people, to the point of seeing people go through other people's following lists to try to "find them out".
