A two-family home. VisiCalc was written and developed in the home's attic.

This is 231 Broadway in Arlington. Back in 1978 a two-person startup called Software Arts worked out of the attic to create VisiCalc -- the first spreadsheet program for personal computers.

so myanmar has subsidized gas but you have to be driving a car that was bought in myanmar and also be a resident of myanmar, and i think making people prove their car was bought in illinois and they have an illinois license to save 15 cents per gallon or whatever would be extremely funny

I see people questioning what use this could have, but consider that we’re closer than ever to building a robot that can run away when you catch it stealing a pie from your windowsill

We were constantly told that students objecting to bigots on campus was the greatest threat to free speech and now those same people have instituted a ideological minder program on college campuses that would make the Soviets blush.

Sinbad and Astral Projection
So, I was just watching an old Joe Rogan Experience with Pete Holmes. (https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=baSNHz4uiX4 ) During their conversation, Sinbad somehow came up. (1:54:44) Pete talked about how when Sinbad was on his podcast he talked about how he used to astral project. He told Pete that he stopped because a being in the astral world punched him in the chest and it felt like he had been hit with a sledgehammer.
I wonder if this incident Sinbad experienced somehow changed our reality…..

Speaking of Sinbad did you know Sinbad (the comedian) claims he can astrally project and that he was punched in the astral plane?

A tweet from Pope Leo XIV that reads: β€œWhen simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.”

Apparently the Pope has read Baudrillard.

Quote from the article "The committee noted that if approximately 1,000 public comments submitted prior to the vote, nearly every one voiced opposition to the proposed arch and it's size, with one outlying individual submitting an alternate design"
