Conspiracy theorist just love going down rabbit holes.
I blame the Warren Commission.
And an enormous English breakfast . (Again regardless of the time of day).
Conan The Avenger. The first book I read that I truly enjoyed for its own sake. It’s awful. But it made me a ‘reader’ and my reading of every great book since could be said to be a result of that experience.
Fair point. I got distracted by the wide issue and posted in the wrong place in the conversation. I will delete.
Sadly this issue is going to end up in ‘who should have told what to whom and when’.
But it should come down to: ‘almost everyone (inc. cabinet members) thought Mandelson was a dangerous appointment. In those circumstances, a responsible PM would have actively demanded to know every detail.’
Maybe not. On the other hand EU membership had low salience right up until Cameron decided to hold a referendum.
Agree. It’s the rabbit they will pull out of the hat just ahead of the next GE. As well as uniting the liberal left, it will turn the election into a single issue campaign and so relegate their record in office to a near irrelevance.
Wasn’t this, roughly speaking, Labour policy in 2019, and roundly mocked by much of the commentariat at the time as a confusing fudge? (Wrongly in my view).
Make payments to that pot progressive based on income and the pensions equal and universal. Invest the money in infrastructure and public goods that also stimulate economic growth and create an income (tax revenue). Use that income to pay pensions.

Some people reply without even reading the plain text. There’s not much can be done about that. But something could be done about posts with links. What about, if a post has a link, people should not be able to reply unless they have actually clicked the link.
If we believe this bomber is on its way to bomb civilian targets as part of a self-confessed mission ‘to destroy a civilisation’, shouldn’t the UK shoot it down?
‘Too many copies of The Da Vinci Code’ ?
One. That will be one.
Do you have a source for either of these?
Judgement at Nuremberg.
Hollywood: Civilisation facing existential crisis (meteor) launches international space mission to save humanity.
Reality: Civilisation facing existential crisis (climate) splits. Half introduce rules about whether you can call your investment fund ‘green’. The other half complains ‘that’s woke’.
US society has shown fuck all empathy with the rest of the world for 70 years. This is not a step change. This is the US finally seeing itself in the same way as much the rest of the world has seen it for 70 years.
Eating Capybara?
Question to Google: Can you eat Capybara? Google suggest a range of more detailed questions including: can you eat Capybara during lent? And Can you eat capybara in Islam?
You sent me off down a rabbit hole with this one. Google immediately offers some interesting lines of inquiry.

I dont want to alarm anyone unnecessarily, but about an hour ago I saw Nigel Farage crossing Tower Bridge on a tank.
Confused? You will be.
