Ever notice how lawful neutral is nearly just as bad as lawful evil?

Brennan Lee Mulligan or Matt Mercer?
I live in literally the reddest state in the country. Nobody here gives a fuck if you say “Happy Holidays.” I’m so exhausted by this manufactured outrage.
All those mom jokes in It are gonna hit different now after Welcome to Derry season 1.
Nevermind. Evil Dead did it first
Gotta give the It movies props: it’s the first time in a franchise a horror film was followed by a comedy.
Well. Pluribus is the best thing I’ve watched this year.
But duh.
Kinda got an itch to write a horror novel in 15 days. 🤔
That piece of shit was once on the same plane as me. I would’ve been okay if it went down.
We’re all about to go from “Release the files!” to “Who’s Bubba?”
Oh look. Trump’s in the files. Crazy.
Spotify is running ICE ads. So… bye Spotify
Weird project idea: a book of learning spellcasting done in the style of a high school textbook.
Watching Democrats do politics is like watching Ralph Wiggum play chess.
Shelley Duvall gave the best performance in The Shining. If it wasn’t for her, the other performances would have felt downright goofy.
Ughh I love this set
Sourdough starter is the closest thing to a real life Lovecraftian horror there is.
The fuck you mean you have a jar of wild fungus that you have to feed every day that will occasionally reward you with bread?

If you could have anyone DM a game for you, who would you choose?
The damage a trap does is inversely proportional to how hard it is to spot and avoid. The more damage, the easier to spot.
Pit trap. Hard to spot. Deals minor damage.
Big gem held in the mouth of a (trapped) statue surrounded by skeletons reaching for it. Easy to spot. Big damage.
Quick dungeon room population tool using a bell curve.
Roll 2d6:
Range 2 to 12, 2 being extremely dangerous and 12 is very safe/helpful. 7 is an empty room.
Results divisible by 3 have treasure.
Even numbers are encounters. Odd numbers are traps, hazards, obstacles.
6) Grab a few random tables, name generators, etc. If you ever need a mood or tone, just use the same 2d6 method detailed above.
5) Come up with the village’s overall tone. Roll 2d6. The range: 2 being hostile toward outsiders, 7 being somewhat neutral, and 12 being overtly friendly and helpful.
4) Come up with 1-2 hooks for adventures in the village. These can even lead to your main quest or offer additional details.
3) Figure out if/where players can buy/sell goods. Most villages, even by fantasy standards, don’t have a ton of currency available for purchasing items.
2) If you’re going for high fantasy or it’s a particularly large town or village, determine where the inn is. In a more realistic setting inns are less common in small villages.
How to quickly design a village:
1) Make a map. Use watabou.itch.io. It’s got villages, towns, and regions.
It’s like… a fantasy movie. More than a horror movie.
