I was taught that that point of a cutscene is to take control away from the player. It's not a "problem" that they kill gameplay because that's the point. If taking control away isn't what you want to do, then a cutscene isn't the thing to do there.

(just sharing because you said you didn't know what to do next.)
My cat was referred to a veterinary neurologist once. They gave her an exam and then epilepsy meds and she did great after that. For some neuro stuff, you want them seen/medicated early because some seizures can promote more seizures. The neuro was only as costly as the normal vet.
Simple. You just need to know the wind direction on the day you were born and whether your grandparents liked horses, and then
he actually died in the late 1910s and has been a ghost this whole time
Better cut tourism investment to invest in fracking then 🙃
Have you written novel-length things before? Need any file management tips for documents that are So Long?
Sounds potentially pleasant
Back in the day, I wrote my first novels on this thing and it was bliss. It “could” connect to the internet but so slowly that it wasn’t worth it. devicebeast.com/devices/hewl...
You could also do it on a typewriter and scan/ocr the pages. A good ocr for cleanly typewritten pages must exist…
For me, I don’t necessarily like the tiny screen of freewrite & co. Especially if the goal is not first-drafting, but revising and converting to digital.
This whole topic is fun 😆
Raspberry Pi plus an old typewriter and a lot of wires and soldering…
I think an e-reader with a bluetooth keyboard could produce that distractionlessness, otherwise there’s the freewrite. OR…
Hmm I wonder if any of the last generation of electric typewriters can export a file (or be modded easily to do so)
You mean like a typewriter that quietly records your keystrokes?
Help me take another bonkers pic this year (Pic is me on a bike in the rain, shouting triumphantly with my fist in the air) Donate to GDoCExpo and I'll ride 40 miles
I'm riding 40 miles in the 5 Boro Bike Tour May 3 to raise funds for @gdocexpo.com!
GDoCExpo has granted over $400K to game devs of color. Last year's event had 1,200+ attendees online & at 14 IRL watch parties, 1M+ showcase views.
Donate now, it's tax-deductible: givebutter.com/GDoCBike/cattsmall
Congrats to @theonion.com, now do whitehouse dot gov next.
They will absolutely do just fine!
You can! I personally don’t find polished slides especially
memorable. I’d rather a memorable ugly slide any day.
an image with a series of nested net bowls in oceanic blues and greens with a text superimposed on them. The text reads: "Stitching Stories; or, Imagining the Biography of Those who did not write."
finishing off my slides for this weekend's Creative Writing and Storytelling Conference at University of King's College. Archives. Erasures. Empire. Politics. Resistance. Stitchery = these are a few of my favourite things.
"there were no narrative tools and at almost no point in production could anyone see text in the game" is an all too familiar refrain
HENCH is a phenomenal book, and I am very excited to be getting more from these characters and this world.
It's funny, it's grounded, and it gives time and attention to the collateral damage of heroes.
Cecil is not kidding. Once she asked me what my favourite version of Superman was and I said I didn’t have one, and she was downright angry with me for at least a minute. Cecil should be writing Superman. And then my fav will be Cecil’s Superman. Happy Superman Day.
You can tell the economy is not good because all the spring fashion features are like “GET THE LOOK: Jeans and a tee!”
I can feel there’s also a lot of barometric pressure building up. It’s trying its best to beat down my migraine preventative but so far the doors are holding
I like roundy soupy
