I dug up and posted the singular fic I wrote for this property, in 2006. Holds up, IMO! #coldfire

I love Caitlin Doughty and Ask a Mortician. Her books are good too!
Caitlin Doughty is so great. And yes, a lot more cannibalism than in Moby Dick, which is why is can never be MY Great American Novel
Hah! My brand is strong. Thank you!

Also client: No, you may not turn off a single one of my 100 tracking scripts for sites that we may not even have accounts for anymore. Those are my emotional support tracking scripts.
Is it just me, or does "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer sound like an Adam Lambert song? I was genuinely surprised to find out he didn't sing it
Yessssssss
Happy birthday!!!
What's the female equivalent of a weird boner? Asking for a friend
Wait until I actually commit my fic crimes instead of just dreaming about them!
Evil, violent characters, one of whom is played by my favorite actor
Lin catnip
I haven't even seen Dune 2 yet, but I'm already yelling about THIS KISS twitter.com/i/status/176...
I feel some gross, dark fic coming on. But for now I'm going to enjoy the anti...........

People at work are recommending the new teen drama My Life With the Walter Boys, and ya girl just wants to know, but cannot ask, if it's incesty.
I may have been there too!
Work women's meeting today about the glass ceiling/pay gap, but since I probably can't suggest unionization in a meeting with partners and directors in it, I'm going to sit it out, per yoozh
I would appreciate a signal boost!
I would like to commission a cartoon to be used in a temporary tattoo, sticker, or T-shirt. The run would be tiny, 2-10 qty. Anybody know an illustrator who is available to turn something around in the next week or so?

I'm sort of like, what if a vampire romance where the vampire is not a controlling dick.
But also, IMO, the most potent vampire metaphor is vampire as rapacious aristocracy, so of course they are controlling dicks, and I'm rarely happy when they get happy endings
I am kind of enjoying that Kit Marlowe is the worst, having read many books where he's the hero and everyone loves him
Apparently this is my "complaining about The Discovery of Witches trilogy" account
Into book 2 now and holy shit Matthew is a dick. "He was mad at his father but he took it out on everyone else." THAT'S DICK. DON'T MARRY THAT GUY.
He's already had to apologize for dickishness 10 times in 100 pages
I did. I got to the end and found myself willing to read the next book if only to have something to talk about with my rowing friend. Could have taken 100 pages to get there instead of 600. Did you read more?
Literally 25 years late to this party, but I just heard that there was a rumor that John Wesley Shipp who played Mitch Leery was either banging or frequently hitting on James VDB?
True or not, it is never leaving my brain now.
Also epithets, very true. Why would our heroine think of the love of her life as "the vampire" and not his dang name? Back when he's a threat, sure, but later???
Also, potentially important information not revealed until 100 pgs in, also mid-dialogue. Also POV problems in all the non first person settings
"Hamish knew that Matthew thought vampires, witches, and daemons were going extinct."
Sounds important? But then much more romance than dealing with that
The book is incredibly slow too. Nearly 600 pages to get us to book 2 that probably still could have happened in a moderately paced 100 pages
Is that the reality show with James Puresex??? I saw a few eps and it was so charming
I do love me some Matthew Goode
Actually this is not fair to Twilight I have some grudging affection for. The Cullens, while nutty, did have personality. The bonkersness of ol' Stephanie's world-building and her extreme horniness was also fun.
But you'll never convince me that someone whose skin is always cold could ever be sexy
...this is getting awfully Twilighty. I sure hope a plot other than a cardboard vampire boringly seducing a boring heroine shows up soon.
