New Hallmark movie on tonight.
Currently reading: THE ENDING WRITES ITSELF by Evelyn Clarke.

SUPERGIRL
TOY STORY 5
OBSESSION
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2
SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY
I hope your mom is okay.
Fuck the doctor’s office. Those lab coated bastards will keep you waiting in the exam room an hour after your appointment start time, but when you need to cancel because of an emergency, they get pissy with you?! My uncle told his doc one time my time is just as good as yours, get your ass in here.
Downloaded some games for the first time ever on my Mac.
Two games had in-app purchases.
Another mystery-solving game froze the Mac.
I instantly uninstalled these games.
Maybe my agent loves the new novel. Maybe she hates it. Maybe we sell it. Maybe we don’t. There’s a thousand other maybes, and I don’t control any of them. What I control is the work, so I worked a bit on the next one yesterday. Always be writing the next one.
It’s so good. Cried a little. And I’m not much of a sci-fi fan.
Idea: The Muppets take on THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. Kermit and Fozzie are Holmes and Watson, respectively. Other characters played by Muppets or real actors.
Congrats!
God called last night. She said every single motherfucker sharing those AI slop videos of people praying in streets and airports is going straight to hell because you’re making stuff up and lying is a sin. Hope y’all have a terrible day.
AI will destroy us.

BATMAN: DARK PATTERNS by Dan Watters and @cleanlined.bsky.social is a mystery right up there with THE LONG HALLOWEEN and COURT OF OWLS. They’ve elevated Firefly like Loeb and Sale did with Calendar Man. Read it now!
Bill Finger definitely doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
I have the revival cast recording with Mary Beth Piel and Bernadette Peters. It’s good, but this seems like a show you can’t understand by listening to the songs; you have to see it.
Do you think a movie musical version could be pulled off? If so, would could it be successful?
In regards to the original book, I didn’t read it until 2008 and it freaked me out. The scariest, most suspenseful part was the sidestory of the raptors on the ship bound for the mainland. Something about the descriptions of flitting shapes on board spooked me.
I’ll watch every new JURASSIC movie they put out, with the hope that it’ll recreate some of the magic of the original. JURASSIC WORLD managed. REBIRTH had a little. When it strays from the ethical argument is when the stories fall flat for me.
Tell us your thoughts!
Various Stephen King novels still need adapting.
The ending, with Dunne literally being spat out by the city is one of Scorsese’s best.
Finished writing script for a version of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” done as a slasher set in 1822 where Ichabod, Katrina, and Brom are teenagers, but now I’m thinking about rewriting it so it takes place in the present day. Thoughts?
What is it?
Hocus Pocus 2
Bought it sight unseen and loved every second of it. Works even better if you’ve had the privilege of living in NYC. Teri Garr is a hoot. The off-kilter scene where Dunne witnesses a murder and says “I’ll probably get blamed for that” is terrific.
Now that @criterion.bsky.social made a deal with Apple and put KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON on blu-ray, they need to keep harping Netflix for:
GLASS ONION
WAKE UP DEAD MAN
TICK… TICK… BOOM!
Movies that are not on blu-ray, but need to be:
FREAKY FRIDAY (Jamie Lee Curtis)
AS GOOD AS IT GETS
RUNAWAY BRIDE
WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING
If you thought a regular, silver Tesla Cybertruck was the epitome of douchebaggery, then you haven’t seen a YELLOW one.
These vehicles look like un-rendered polygrams from an N64 game. To go and make it a blinding color that attracts attention is quite a choice. A special breed of idiot.
