I did notice that for the first time on my recent replay with the SAC translation. I was unsure of the interpretation of "itinerant" as them being "aliens" or just locals that travel to various regions of the planet, migrate in and move on.
I presumed the second interpretation but was unsure.

List of games I have played giving variety based on a preexisting list.
Some games I have "legally" played but so minimally that I barely remember that I have. Therefore I have scored myself twice. (56 or 63)
This should get updated with Fortnite, Genshin and some more mobile games to be more current imho (and will prob give me a worse score too).
There's a lot of story between FFVII and its post credits that COULD be told, as well as various stories about the Ancients and even just Ifalna specifically.
Will it conclude the MAIN story of FFVII? I think so. At least as much as any other big trilogy has.
