Just found out that iOS and some consoles don't even allow runtime allocation of executable memory so I'll probably have to keep the interpreter anyway if I ever want to support those platforms

RN it's just either a proper function pointer or interpreted byte code for each system and the interpreter isn't really slow slow but JIT would easily be faster. The problem is it makes cross platform stuff a bit harder
