Hyped to finally have the computer that started it all for me again. It’s got some minor yellowing on the front, and it’s missing a keyboard cable, but it powers on and loads the one disk it came with. Looking forward to getting it working fully and running some old games on it! #AppleIIGS
On one many reasons I’m glad I quit caffeine after getting COVID.
I think they understood that it would be too epic for TV. People want to connect with a cast of key characters, and that’s impossible to do with a plot that spans a millenia (not including prior books, which span 25,000 years).
Aside from some character names and the most broad of plot beats, it doesn’t have much in common with the books. That said, if they stuck with the books, it would be even MORE epic and detached from the characters.
However, the Genetic Dynasty stuff is 100% TV plot and that’s really well done.
