You can donate money to the app creators if you want(recommend to highly used apps)

Many different creativity apps(drawing, 3D design, coding)

Properly updates the system files and apps without adding unneeded extras.

You don't have a lot of the OS DRM that Windows uses which has been one of their biggest issues.

Linux is very customizable.

Comes free with much of the softwares that Microsoft and Adobe force you to pay for.

In my experience, so far, runs them very well.
I use Linux(Nobara) since it's designed with gaming in mind and comes with much of the software needed for gaming to work.

Mint(Cinnamon)is what I first tried on an old laptop just to get a feel for the Linux OS.

It made this old slow laptop work better than it ever has.
