In a crazy real life world. Watching a fictional rock sleep for 2hr 16 min... kind of wholesome.

Screenshot highlighting release notes of the new Resolve 21 Beta that surpised us by the addition of a photo edit page to rival Lightroom.
Funny meme of Christoph walts golf clapping
Double take of the year here, as Blackmagic Design realized that they could suckerpunch Adobe where it truly hurts.
Oh, and still no subscription needed.
I do the respectful applause.
Screenshot of Blackmagic Designs countdown clock anticipating their yearly tradition of doing big announcements shortly before NAB.
Well. The yearly tradition is upon us once more:
#NAB #BMD #DAVINCI #RESOLVE
As always with modern America. They thought Robocop was aspirational.
Just finished watching #Pluribus. And every time they mention where she lives. All I can wonder. Is if Weird Al ever got back his lucky snorkel?

"Any S Curve looks logarithmic when you only observe its beginning."
That's just a thought that goes through my mind any time I read people saying:
"look back 10 years ago and imagine where this tech will be ten years from now!"
Acceleration in development is not a law.
And it came to pass. That on Easter.. it snowed.
"Maybe I should switch to summer tyres."
- No. Not until after easter.
"But there's no snow, why wait?"
- Not until after easter, I say!
Every year the same mental discussion.
Oh, wait. While I wasn't paying attention. I got to the big two-double-oh!
I feel like I should celebrate... But how? Well... Back to the VOP I guess for me...
Always reminded of the Simpsons gag.
VOP Release Notes v0.6.1
V0.6.1 - (20260404) - "Changes to for the installation tutorial Added Created 'Documentation' directory for project tracking. Added tutorials to the wiki both for first installation of VOP and fullRGB fix. Changed Moved the force_full_rgb.sh script to CaliTools/FullRGBFix/…
VOP v0.6.0 – Release notes
Believe it or no, The VOP has finally been updated! I have gone through and painstakingly rebuilt it so it has BOTH the SSS and MDS modes. I have also removed some vestigual things like files that weren't used anyway. And I have also removed the half-implemented JK…
When you realize you have an organization run by nerds... And not power hungry oligarchs.
Whomever the person is that did this, they knew what they were doing. And I love the team for letting it happen.
And I'm not even a big fan of Sailor Moon. Probably because of sheer ignorance. But still.
I will also want to create a somewhat fairly complete wiki on the Codeberg repo as well... I mean.. before I resume work to add new features.
So development will look like a halt for a bit if you only look at the committed and pushed code.
Just realized that if it's stable enough I probably might as well do the squash merge today. And also wrangle the the chaotic version numbering by stating that history starts today, with v0.6.0. And some release notes should also be written, I presume.
Happy easter. Happy. Amaze.
While it is often fun to be quote posted, in this case, it should be noted that context is severely missing. As I also mention the sheer frustration experienced when I forget to police every single LLM produced line of code.
Having to juggle two different languages at work. Having the autocorrect randomly activate is such a joy. :|
I mean. If the goal is to radicalize locals and keep the region hostile indefinitely... It is a terrific strategy.
Like the old movie sniper trope. Wound one guy and pick off any who come to help him. To keep them a little reckless you continue to wound the bait over and over so he keeps on screaming.
I mean. If I was to write a sadistic regime. Double tapping with cruise missiles would be considered.
Post something random or y'all will have a crappy April.
And my paranoia would so far never let any of the modern LLMs touch anything that needs security. Because I know so little about it I wouldn't recognize a wide open back door if it slammed my face.
"Wouldn't it be easier to write the code myself?" You may well be asking.
Probably. And I am teaching myself to code with books and videos. But me explaining in pseudocode what I want to the LLM so far does get me forward in the project in the mean time.
I use Gemini to code a bigger personal project. And I have to concur. That if I do not constantly police the output and question every single line of code. I so quickly lose features and get stuck in frustrating shouting matches. Which is just a waste of time when the AI cannot react to my screams.
Dammit, dammit, SUNNOVABIT**!!!
Civil War is all about the lead up to that event. And I am certain that at the ANTIFA Massacre they talk about... The Antifa weren't the ones doing the massacring.
But on a lighter note:
