Page 4. Panel 1: The pulling finally stopped and the trucker lies on the forest ground. He is covered in leaves and groaning. Panel 2: He notices something standing above him and goes: "Huh?". Panel 3: The trucker looks down to his feet and he can see two very hairy legs and feet with claws.

the different stages and developments are very fluid in their intersecting, even though I'm not a huge fan of that type of 3d animation and it usually makes me quickly disinterested, it managed to keep me hooked.

Tbf there's never been any real fleshing out of ethics/life cycle/spiritual vision on the world of pokemon about this stuff, so it could well be that it's common to be able to envision a pokemon as many things (like a person owning a rabbit and also eating rabbit meat at a restaurant)
