A screenshot in which there is a comparison of Zed and VS Code. The indent guide in VS code continue extending beyond the statement since it cannot find a curly bracket, whilst in Zed it does not.

In VS Code, the indent guides continue extending beyond finished statements without curlies, which is not great with the standart Rust formatting. I don't know if there's a fix but I couldn't it, and it annoyed me so much that I've switched to Zed, which seems fine so far with AI features disabled.

That's really nice!! I wonder how you've managed it at all, if you didn't talk for more than a few years? 2-3 years was enough to take a toll on my mental health. I'm now using anti-depressants, which make it somewhat bearable, but that's about it.

it just just seems that whenever I get confident about doing something, I end up emberassing myself. I'm glad it turned out well this time! I'm interested in seeing what new ideas you'll come up with for new videos too, if you're thinking about continuing it further!

I was really dreading the response yesterday when I left home. I kept thinking to myself the whole day, "ugh, I wonder whether I've emberassed myself..."

Came home, got on my PC, braced myself for a potentially bad reply, and... I also ended up smiling for an hour :D

Thank you for the info! :3

I mean, I don't know what the standart is for videos like that, but as someone who has almost never watched such a video before, I'd say this is pretty good for a first time? Perhaps the audio could be a little louder.

not generally a big fan of ASMR, buuut.... I kind of like this one, honestly? Perhaps it's your voice :P

(also somewhat a late reply I guess, had no clue you could see what people like your post lol - I still wanted to write a reply regardless though)

oh, there's a "+" button to link your posts before sending them all together at the same time. Maybe I won't need the uh, squeezing-into-synonyms-and-new-sentence-structures kind of thing as much as I thought I would?

There also used to be purple lines that appear on my screen at times, which is probably GPU failing or something, which has never happened on Linux. It does happen on accurate colours versus the efficient one, but difference between the two is small anyways. Such setting doesn't exist in Windows.

I've been using Linux for a while now and I've managed to reduce my Bevy (Rust) fresh compiles from 45 mins to 5 mins, which is amazing. There's Mold, 5x faster Linux-only linker, and Cranelift, a faster compiler that I had trouble getting to run on Windows. Development is more stable on Linux too.

I'm new at this and I found squeezing your thoughts into the low character limit to be annoying, yet fun? Sometimes I have to think of synonyms or how to restructure the sentences so that it's shorter, which is kind of fun. You can divide it into multiple posts under the same thread, but yeah

I guess I should try to overcome my anxiety/avoidance or whatever and, just, post things here. Perhaps the first post is the hardest and I'll feel more comfortable after the first couple.
I've avoided sending anything online in the last 2 years, so, I guess this'll be one step towards fixing that.
